April 17, 200620 yr I can hit 9s in def mode and im not pure (40 defence). and im lvl 53 combat. is this un-normal?
April 17, 200620 yr the mode of attack does not significantly affect what you will hit as much as it affects what your expierence goes toward. just don't assume stuff like this in the future. as for your skill levels affecting your hits, thats normal. proud quest cape ownerhere's my first post on the TIF (scroll to the bottom)feel free to pm me, but do make sure that i know you're a Tip.It user (in other words, give me a HYT)

When attacking using agressive my maximum hit is a 16 with a rune scimitar. On defence it's only 15, at least from my experimentation. MOD EDIT: Offensive text removed.

April 17, 200620 yr I'm pretty sure that you will always hit the same on Accurate and Defensive and sometimes hit one higher on Aggressive, depending on how close to your next max hit increase you are in your Strength level. For example, I started hitting 18's with a Rune Scimitar at 84 Strength, using Aggressive mode and wearing a Strength Amulet. In Accurate and Defensive mode, I was still hitting 17's. It wasn't until I had reached 87 Strength that I could also hit 18's in Accurate and Defensive mode. I won't start hitting 19's until I reach level 90 Strength. So from Strength level 87-89, I will be hitting 18's no matter which Attack Style I choose. Extrapolating that forward, I should also be able to hit 19's on Aggressive and Defensive mode starting at Strength level 93.
April 17, 200620 yr uhh.. is it still the same as on rs classic, where putting it on aggressive just means you get +3 to strenght, thus causing the chance for a 1 higher point of damage? i thought this was common knowledge guys! :? unless they changed it, which i dont think they did.... so... yeah 1543 Skill total, 100% F2P
April 17, 200620 yr I remember RSC. If you look by the attack stlyes there, Accurate gives +3 Attack, Aggressive gives +3 strength, and defensive gives +3 Defense bonus to total attack. Or jus look at the names. Either way, it is kind of explainable by yourself. Click here to feed me a Rare Candy! Click here to feed me a Rare Candy!
April 17, 200620 yr you mean crush, stab or slash. this affects the accuracy of your weapon against enemies (and the enemiy's crush, stab and slash defence also affects this) but it doesnt affect max hit. April 17, 200620 yr My 42 can also hit 9's. He's pure tough, Mage-Pure but puring melee :D "A man's gotta do what a man's gotta do"[Currently playing: K1ll L1f3]
April 23, 200620 yr Aggressive always hits up to 1 point more damage than Accurate and Defensive. Accurate and Defensive always hit the same. Whether the damage type is Slashing, Crushing or Stabbing depends on the weapon you are using, not the Attack Style. There is no relationship between Slash/Crush/Stab and Accurate/Aggressive/Defensive.
