Buzioido Posted April 28, 2006 Share Posted April 28, 2006 Ok, so I was watching this Video http://www.dark2k1.com/702-dead/~~(THANKS [DI]Ekaggen)~~ trying to learn better how to kill the boss Jad, since last time I tried the caves, the prayer switching just totally owned on me. Well, I think I figured out a better way to tell which attack he is about to use...watch his back feet. His rear left foot (our right) lifts up slightly before a range attack, whereas both rear feet remain firmly on the ground during a mage attack. When I get home, I'll be doing the caves again, and post my results. Hopefully, and with any luck, I'll be the proud owner of a Fire Cape by the end of the evening. Also, my inventory consists of... Equiped: Full Guthan Fury Ammy Range Boots Barrows Gloves Legends Cape (sold my obby a while back =\) Bolt Racks (~2500) Ring of Charos (u) - (my lucky ring-never leave home without it=D) Inventory: Full Crystal Bow Karil's Crossbow 14 Super Restore Potions (4) 2 Range Potions (4) 10 Sharks (or if you have them, tuna sweetcorn potato dealies because they heal 22 ea) Good luck to all of you who are struggling to achieve one of the hardest things in RS (besides 99 stats) :D Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Does it happen before the normal animation cos if so that would be usefull but on the otherhand might be hard to spot. If it works looks like it could be usefull. Buzioido Posted April 28, 2006 Author Share Posted April 28, 2006 In response - When preparing to do the Fight Caves, I bought 27 sara brews to make 20 four dosers. However, I knew that it was going to be a fruitless effort the first time, so I didn't waste them on the first trip. However, I am much more confident this go around, so I believe I will replace 5 of the sharks with sara brews, that will give me 4 good runs. jessy87 Posted April 28, 2006 Share Posted April 28, 2006 ive watched a video on how to kill him, and the difference in attacks are obvious, the length of time between feet raise and drops back down is amazing the ranged attack is VERY VERY quick, about 2 seconds if that, the magic attack is more like 4-5 seconds Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Personally, I think it'd be safest to keep mage prayer on all the time as soon as you get close, and switch to ranged as soon as you see him stomp, seeing as the stomp is hard to miss.
