huge_lion
I had nothing to do so I made an account on RS. I have played the game 4 years ago, I made it to combat lvl 45 and then I stopped. Now I can afford being a member, but first I need to build up a proper basis. I am doing lots of mining and smithing. I also train my attack, defence and strenght on cows. I take the bones for prayer and cook the meat. Right now I have a made a nice start. My attack, strenght and defence are all at lvl 10. My woodcutting, smithing and mining are all above 15 and so is my firemaking. My cooking and praying are at lvl 5. This is after 3 to 4 hours of playing, perhaps 5. What should I train? should I continue in battle to prepare myself for the gnomes and demons when I will be a member or should I begin with ranging or magic? And the last question, how long does it take to become a member after I have transferred the cash. I will be doing it via my bank. many thanks
Delekatala
Well, my membership was bought for me, so I am not sure how long it takes. But for what to do next, just pick what you enjoy most, it is your character. First thing I did in runescape was fish, lol. I fished and fished, until eventually I was level 25 and getting lobsters. I had a couple comments from fishers, but hey it is my game.
huge_lion
that's true, I think I'll do doric's quest for the mining exp and then go work on my fighting skills. then I will do vampire slayer, do you have experience with that? It's a lvl 34 so I am a bit scared  being victorious there gives me 3825 xp!!!
Delekatala
I haven't done it yet, I do mostly tradeskills. I really only fight things to get stuff I need for tradeskills, LOL.
Delekatala
Oh, and for mining exp, the elemental defender quest is great, it got me from level 20 to level 26. it also gives an equal amount of crafting exp.
hamgod316
You shoudld do Knight's Sword quest. You get a lot of xp but becareful in the Port Sarim dungeon. I gained a few smithing levels from that quest. - Affliction - 100 Combat - 9/15/06Merchant / Skiller

Giordano
If you use a credit card, in a couple of minutes you'll be a member I've heard. If you mail it (California) it'll take a week or so :? huge_lion
I think I will get membership tomorrow or so, I am in the netherlands and I am told that it would take 2 weeks! it's 10 dollars(8 euros) per month. That's quite a lot, are there cheaper ways? What I am doing in the game right now is mining iron ore near varrock and bank it. then I travel to al-kharid to make bars of them. I also fish and cook there to have something to eat. Then I will visit the al-kharid palace and doubleteam etc. that has helped me alot. after that I will go back to Varrock and get those iron bars out of the bank and go to the nearest anvil. So I train mining, smithing, fishing, cooking and combat. I just bought a longbow to train ranging, will start when I have cash for arrows  I also have full iron and my weapon is a black longsword. I just have a few more questions: 1)how much would I get for selling one(or more ofcourse) iron bar? are there standard prizes? 2)what's more important, strenght or attack? My attack is 15, my strenght 16 and my defence 11. any suggestions? should I go for one good hit or 2 less powerfull hits?

RAHK
For the best training speed I would suggets keeping your attack 5 above your strength and only leveling your defense to the next needed level after your strength reaches it. Get 35 att 30 str THEN 30 defense. Once you hit 40 defense take a time out on it and focus on the others and prayer. Get 43 prayer asap so you can do most members quests. Also get into herblore asap for prayer pots. MOST IMPORTANT: Bank everything and travel to gnome stronghold (see map). Take the port sarim boat to karamja then west to the boat that goes to ardy then just walk west and north. Once there get level 30 agility before you do anything else. It GREATLY speeds up all of you other skills because it makes you run for longer. The less time you waste walking the more time you spend on skills. After 50 agility you only really need to raise it for quests and shortcuts. But most of all HAVE FUN! PM me in game to use some skills of mine (glories/potions) free or to ask a question.Fire Cape - 04/29/06 Lvl 104RAHK's Pro PC Gear and Guide(clickable) Tired of hack and slash? FPSers getting old? zara
The quickest method by far is Pay by Phone. It took me about 40 seconds to become a member. All they do is charge $10 to your phone bill the next month so it is pretty harmlesss.
