Sharane
Remember the most important rules: 1: The only thing that can harm the first form is melee. 2: For the second form, range and mage it. You seem you be pretty good with both melee and magic, so it'd be wise for you to "tank" the kalphite queen as much as possible. It shoots quills which are ranged-based to those far from it so you might want to stick as close as possible. On the second form, get into your long-ranged gear; it's flying, so meleeing is impossible. One good idea here is to get ancient spells (ice) for it and the swarm which will buy a lot of time, while your friend being a ranger shooting super-poisoned rune arrows until they hit, then use his best arrows available (Karil's Crossbow if he has it). Good luck, I never tried this with two people. :P "300 programmers make their futile but glorious last stand against 1000000 angry players in The battle of Misthalin. oblivion2006
Don't listen to the other guy. Full Veracs is the way to go. You can hit through her prayers on the second form. Always have protect item and protect from mage on while having one prayer pot in your inventory. Look at a guide for it and just sustitute certain items for Veracs. Sharane
I was merely suggesting the economic version of kalphite slaying, since not everyone is rich enough to afford the whole Verac set. By the way, I'm not a guy. "300 programmers make their futile but glorious last stand against 1000000 angry players in The battle of Misthalin. kwimbob
I was merely suggesting the economic version of kalphite slaying, since not everyone is rich enough to afford the whole Verac set. By the way, I'm not a guy. True, but if you can manage, the verac is much more effective, gives a prayer bonus, allows you to not carry as many sets of armor, and you don't waste arrows over time. Yes, this means I look exactly like the protagonist of that certain anime that my second character, Faye_V is also named after. Yes, I bought a jacket that also looks like his. No in real life I don't have a slain bear to sling over my shoulders. Yes, I'm that skinny even if I no-life it for years in basements. No, I can't shoot a gun. Yes, I can win any other strategic video game you have never played - because I probably have, ahahaha. And yes, I also have brown eyes, yet one of my eyes looks different from the other. And yes, I'm completely oblivious to the [real] world around me as I constantly engineer new solutions to daily problems in my head. When I get hungry, all that isn't food can wait. When I'm sleepy - nothing is of any priority in front of sleep. But at any other time, I never slow down. Never give up. Never Surrender. Lord_Gromit
yeah, you can melee the whole thing with full veracs - note that you need all four pieces to melee both forms.
RAHK
Full veracs + prayer boosting gear (white boots FTW), sharks and the other neccessities and I was able to solo it in 1 trip down to 1/4 hp of it's second form the very first time I tried. With two it should be one or two kills per run. I was 104 combat at the time (105 now). PM me in game to use some skills of mine (glories/potions) free or to ask a question.Fire Cape - 04/29/06 Lvl 104RAHK's Pro PC Gear and Guide(clickable) Tired of hack and slash? FPSers getting old?
