Riptide Mage Posted May 7, 2006 Share Posted May 7, 2006 Since gold has discovered my 3rd favorite program I thought I might write a little bit about how to quickly make something spectacular. Little guide for how to use apophysis: 1-Start with a random batch: Select different random batches until you get something that looks cool and has alot there; don't pick one that has a small cloud or just a few strands; you won't get much from them. 2-Pull up the Mutation Window (f7); use the dropdown menu and look at alot of different possibilities before deciding upon the one you want to work from. 3-Pull up the Transform Editor (f4) and move single points around to adjust the appearance. 4-Fine tune it with the Adjustor (f5); from here you can zoom and recenter the fractal; and you can change the gradient. 5-Render (Ctrl+R) Tip: Sometimes running the script (f9) can lead to interesting results. It's here (hopefully if I got the URL right) It's good, but the only problem is the time it takes to load changes, and to export as a different format.
