pjb21
may i add that i was the person who introduced PDN to this forum. its a great program, you can do loads with it. I use it mainly for pixels, but it can be used to make other stuff as gold has showed. i thought i recognised that metal effect.... PJB21 100% my own work, i make my own brushes: set 1 set
Goldwolflord
Yeh, PJB turned me to Paint.NET and I love it. The things you can do are limitless, and it gives me so much inspiration. :D
mage2116
At the risk of sounding like a total noob, I wish to share a great website with you. http://cooltext.com/ This website has some amazing fonts and there is a lot you can use for some cool sigs. Just thought some of you might like to try it out.
pjtomboy
How do you work it? Instructions please. . I know, I'm noob to every program other than MS Paint. :sigh:
Goldwolflord
Just click what you want. It's really easy, but I dislike it... It's rather limited to what you can get easily, without too much time-wasting trying to get what you want. I'd rather just do my own text than let that do it. :| ______________________ More random crap:
mage2116
I think he ment how do you work paint.net?
Goldwolflord
Er... Yeh... I knew that... Just play around with it, it's similar to MSP in a few aspects, but it's a lot better. :) The interface is great... Instant access to colour changes... Lots of different tools... Layers... Unlimited undo-s... It's just amazing...
pjb21
i have been thinking of doing a pdn tut, mainly pixel work tho, but still. im not sure how much interest there is in that however. and im not sure if i can be bothered.... ah well.if anyone has some questions about it, then pm me, and ill try my best. mage2116
I just downloaded it, and it has some cool stuff, but I cant make anything close to what you made.
Goldwolflord
You should be able to in a few hours play, I mean, go back a few pages and see the first one I posted (A blue one with a crappy (supposed to look like) water effect) and then look what I've made. I'm working on a new wallpaper at the moment too. :) My current one is this: If anyone wants it, feel free to use it. :D Ok, now I made a red variation of it. :) Once again, feel free to use it. :)
pjtomboy
Your on a roll Gold!! Lol, you've gone crazy  .
Goldwolflord
I know... It's just so easy and inspirational. :) I'll make a big uber post/thread (which one d'y'reckon? If post then on this thread.) of all the work I've done like this. Anyone want any similar things doing, sigs, desktops, avatars... I should be able to do it, so just say and I'll try my best. pjtomboy
Do you do abstract backgrounds, Gold? If so, here's a thought: Render: http://www.madman.com.au/wallpapers/dot ... 3_1024.jpg Font: Whatever you think looks cool Text: //SIGN And make it background sized please . Or, if you want a challenge...Do all that has been stated but make it TipIt size for a signature.
WutangFlu
@every one who keeps posting basically the same stuff over-and-over. i think you should just stop.. you dont need to be posting revisions every 5 posts... just edit ur original one. or dont even post ur wips, and just do a final version.. your just flooding this forum with the same thing over and over.. Goldwolflord
Ok, LP, I know my work sucks compared to most of the people here, but I have just as much right to post as you do... So... Here's a big compilation of my work, from oldest to newest. Wow this one looks amateur and ugly now... I still like this banner thingy... Love this one. :) And this. And this. Tried to get a metallic effect. Ergh... Ugly green. Love this one. :) And this one. Ugly... Ew Backgrounds: And sorry, Pj, but I don't think I can do that... That's one hell of a hard render to crop... And I don't do abstracts, I use Paint.NET and I have no idea how to do those abstract renders... I just do what I've posted above: Colours and stuff... Nothing amazing.
pjtomboy
It's fine, thanks for your time. I was wondering, on the note of the TGT (TipIt Graphics Team) do we post pixel work as well? I have some that I'd like to post and get help on.
Goldwolflord
Yeh, that's one of the points of this: to help on graphics (Abstract, Grunge, Pixels etc) so, post away and see who can help.
pjtomboy
Riiight...I knew that. Anyway, here's a work I am doing for Jitouz: I need some C/C on the background, though. (It's suppose to be Falador Square, btw).
Goldwolflord
It looks good so far. Try to make the background a little ligher though, and do some buildings. (Just the bottoms as you would see.) And I've also made a yellow background above. ^
Riptide Mage
Just wondering..about how long until the Lemming sigs are displayed for voting? You make it sound like running through a few level 87 monsters is hard which it really shouldn't be at your level.
speedofsound
this is a great comunity! You can't ever find a place that's nice and peaceful, because there isn't any. You may think there is, but once you get there, when you're not looking, somebody'll sneak up and write "(bleep) you" right under your nose. Try it sometime. I think, even, if I ever die, and they stick me in a cemetery, and I have a tombstone and all, it'll say "Holden Caulfield" on it, and then what year I was born and what year I died, and then right under that it'll say "(bleep) you." Riptide Mage
So..I was wondering if anyone here is any good with character rigging and skin editting in 3ds max. I've got a biped in progress..but I loath rigging. You make it sound like running through a few level 87 monsters is hard which it really shouldn't be at your level.
