any extensions for mozilla so that rs plays ALOT BETTER?

Featured Replies

I NEED TO KNOW THIS I LIKE MOZILLA BUT IT PLAYS RS HORRIBLY...please submit if you know anything

1. You dont bump after 1 minute.

2. I play on mozilla fine. Only problems Ive had is when I try playing on high detail. When doing so, it will randomize my letters as I type a sentence or word, so the word "hello" would end up something like "lhloe".

exactly thats what i meant, im gonna look for an extension to prevent that, what would i search for though, like what would i type in?

Try playing on low detail? Not too bad...

well thats good thanks for yuor help, and i would never need to run on low detail this comp pwns newbs all day long with a bronze dagger lol

I use Mozilla as my browser but have the downloadable client for rs, not a dodgy one just the one off runescape.com. I have never experienced any problems. I would try that. Hope that helps.

When I play RS on FireFox, for some reason, it mutes the sound.

I occasionally use mozilla, in low def. I think the rs client (downloadable under the downloads sections of the official site) is the best. IE is better than mozilla on my laptop...

There are many problems with Firefox and Java. One is that it mutes the sound and jumbles letters. To fix this I simply surf with Firefox and play Runescape with IE.

Many sites are geared only towards IE as it's the majority holder of the internet browsers. Many secure sites will require you to use IE instead of Netscape or those using its engine. Simply open two browsers, one Firefox and one IE, one to surf one to play.

I have not got many problems-

But I get scramble letters(Everywhere)-if it stuffs up I will retype and you can see it. It Isn't stuffing up now, funny that it was about 5 mins ago!

Muted sound. agx ill fix. weJ (!! See it jumbled :( ) Jagex will fix. Finally they see. I was wondering when they'd fix it.

I currently use mozilla but i do not play runescape throught it. I use a software called swiftshift. Basicly alot easier to use the nthe rs site. I have neva expierenced lag and i watch dvd's and play music on msn and allsorts while im on runescape and it does not lag

I personally use swiftswitch...

But if I run firefox whilst playing rs, my game laaaggggssss sooo much...

So I use the swiftswitch built it browser of i.e :)

All these problems with firefox... its not all its cracked up to be peeps...

Firefox really only has a few problems and all of the ones listed here are caused by Jagex/Java, not by Mozilla.

The jumbled letters that we have been talking about here are an odd side effect that Firefox will do when your computer is working extremely too hard. Because RS isn't currently very compatible with firefox the game causes your computer to start using more effort than necessary and can cause those jumbled letters if your computer isn't the very best out there  .

I use the Jagex client and IE to play RS, but I use firefox to do everything else. In my opinion firefox is just a much more convinient program and it is much less targeted by viruses than the more widely used IE browser. Don't blame firefox too much here and, as this post has already stated, Jagex will soon make RS more compatible with Firefox.
