Level Requirements -

For full completion you need ALL of the following skills -

70 Cooking

48 Agility

20 Firemaking

See each strand for individual requirements.

Required Items (to my knowledge) -

2 lemons, cocktail shaker, 2 oranges, pineapple, empty martini glass (from gnome stronghold east shop), ash (burn a log), rotten tomato (buy from crate in yanille near bank), greenman's ale (yanille bar), eye of newt, pestle and mortar (buy from druids in taverly), 2 egg, 2 flour, cake tin, 3 milks, 1 cream (all from shop in yanille), 20ish stews (cook em or buy them from bar west of camelot), cat/kitten or whichever you have, any wc axe, any machete (nature general store on karamja), 1 pot (any general store), 1 RAW sweetcorn (grow it or buy off of others), RAW chicken (kill a chicken south of fally), 5 asgarian ales, ANY gloves or guantlets, 1 BOWL of water, 1 RAW cod (fish it or buy from catherby fish store), 2 bread (steal from watchmen or cake stall or cook it), charcoal (buy from nature general store on karamja), 1 bait (any fishing store), 1 knife, purple or blue dye (I used purple. Get from witch in draynor or from clothes shop near crystal seed tele), spice (buy or steal from stall in Ardy), bucket of water (buy and fill in falador), ANY pickaxe, ANY axe, 30+ ogre arrows (or a good weapon and 100ish feathers) or brutal arrows (remember that these require nails), ogre bow or composite ogre bow (bow costs about 500gp from Rantz during quest), ogre bellows (get from chest in cave behind Rantz during quest), iron spit or iron bar and hammer, a ball of wool, a rope, and that is it. Whew!

See recomendations on #9 and #10 as well.

Supplementary Items -

BOOTS OF LIGHTNESS, 5k gp (just so you don't have to worry about coming up short), (u) ring of charos (saves a little gp), LOTS of glory ammies (i used up 7 full glories lol), a decent set of armor (nothing too expensive), a good weapon (whip or dds), chisel (for crab armor), charged crystal seed (good 1-click tele and helps get dye) and a ton of energy and/or super energy pots.

Tips -

Go light or go home. 90% of this quest is travelling. The only strands that might need armor are number four, nine, and ten. Also keep the gp and tele runes on you at all times since they are light and useful unless otherwise indicated.

When you go to purchase something from a store scan the item list and buy everything that you will need from that shop. Yanille shop, Gnome east shop, and any Herblore shops are good examples of time-savers and hiney-savers (in case you decide to eat your cream on accident for example).

If the gnome store is bought out you can purchase some items by chatting with the gnome waiters and requesting them.

After each strand you gain more and more access to the unique weapons and gloves under Lumby. You also get access to a ton of useful food products to help you with this quest and cooking/herblore. The stock increases with the number of strands completed as well (up to 50).

Make about 20 stews. Get your cat (wiley is best and kitten is worst). Potatoes can be grown or gathered nearly anywhere. Kill cows for meat. Chat his mom west of edge bank. Go downstairs and chat him. Proceed back to his mother and pester her until she tells you that the hellmice stole her spice. Go downstairs and get your cat to kill a ton of hellmice. After 7 kills your cat changes into a hellcat. To change back feed it milk or talk to the mom again.

Gather the spices. After you have about 4 of each color stop. Add a single dose of one color. Have dave taste. If he says no then add 2 doses. Taste again. Another no means try 3 doses. He will say something along the lines of "One of these seems right but the rest are all wrong" if you are correct and "This is nothing like what I had before" if you are wrong. Write down the correct dose for that color. Repeat with all the other colors. Make a final one that has the correct doses. Tele to Lumby and feed Evil Dave. Congratulations.

Quests -

The Lost City

Legends quest

Skills -

Must be able to defeat a level 227 monster (there are plenty of safe spots)

Talk to old man at draynor. Ask about evil creatures then evil chicken. Get any ax and a machete if you have one. Tele to ardy and boat to karamja. Take the cart to shilo or walk to the far south part of karamja. Buy charcoal and a machete if you do not have one.

mapforvanilla4cy.jpg

The vanilla is south and a little west of the pond where you cut the hollow reed in legends. I believe that it is a tannish brown color.

Glory to draynor and use a RAW sweetcorn on the mill to the northeast. Don't forget to bring a pot. Combine milk, cream, sweetcorn flour, and vanilla. Bank all your armor and head to Entrana. BRING SOME TELE RUNES. Cut yourself a dramen branch or two (if you dropped your original dramen staff). Grind the branch with pestle and mortar.

Make sure that you asked the old man in draynor about the evil chicken.

Bring the following items:

Dramen Staff, the brulee, RAW chicken, 100-500 casts of a decent offensive spell (or a hally if you don't mind taking ages), a dds or whip, a anti-dragonfire shield, a few lobs or sharks, and a tele. ONLY the first three are required but the others are highly suggested.

Enter Zanarfis (fairy land). Use RAW chicken on shrine north of entrance. Equip your anti shield and sprint straight north eating as needed (black dragons weren't that aggresive for me). In the northernmost chamber equip your melee weapon and mage prayer and kill the chicken. Pick up the egg and add it to your brulee. Go south a few steps and lure a black drag with mage. If you use a little common sence you can easily defeat him (easily not quickly) without taking any damage. Pick up the d bone and hide (and sell to me lol) and the token. Tele out. Add your ground dramen.

NOTE: I used ice gloves and was fine. From many people's accounts you can easily live through the blast with full hp and no protection whatsoever. Mage prayer, antifire potion, and an antidragon fire shield all lower the damage but you should be hit about a 21 or so. The ice gloves require a stroll to the ice queen northeast of catherby. Do NOT forget a pickaxe if you go after these. (Ice gloves also prevent one of the bosses from unequipping your weapon. If you use my entangle and mage tactic then this won't effect you since he can't reach you to disarm you.)

Equip the ice gloves and/or the antidragon fire shield and rub the token.

After the fairy dragon flambees your brulee tele to lumby. Feed Sir Amik Varze. Congratulations.

Buy (or get free with ring of charos) the recipe for 200gp from the bartender(esse?). Put 1 gp into each ale. Get egg, BOWL of water, pot of flour, GLOVES (any type I would assume. ice gloves will save you a short walk if you have them (see #4 for help with ice gloves)), and bucket of milk. Return to dwarf. Give him all the ales. Get the recipe and then get him to cook it. If you have ice gloves equip them. Pick the cake up off of the table. Tele to fally and walk to ice mountain (northeast of fally and west of edge). Kill one of the ice guys there (very low level don't worry). This cools your rock cake. Tele to Lumby and feed the dwarf. Tele to watchtower. Walk to bank. Bank EVERYTHING except things that are weightless (jewellry, gp, runes, boots of lightness, etc. Make sure to bank your helm, CAT, and cape as well. You will need to weigh LESS than 27 kgs before you can dive and Murphy ADDS weight when you get to him. Get the following things:

THREE bronze wires, 1 needle, 1 fast melee weapon, fishbowl, your light items, and an otherwise empty inventory (for holding items underwater and for the optional gathering of crab gear items). Don't forget to bring a chisel if you want crab armor.

Travel north to the Trawler Minigame. Chat Murphy. When you finally go under water get some kelp. It looks like really tall green grass and is all over the place. Chat Nung to the immediate north. Agree to gather hides. Go to the far west where all the rocks are. Gather 5 rocks and go into the tunnel that is north of them. Re-equip your melee wep and kill 5 fish. Don't bother getting more because you can't surface with them. Go back to Nung. Chat and give the wire and needle. Go into the pen and start killing crabs. 100% chance of a crab meat drop which is all that you NEED from here. ROUGHLY 15% chance of crab claw from small crabs and crab shell from the larger ones. Get a couple because I broke 3 out of 5 at 80 crafting. Craft them there until you are happy (use chisel) and drop the broken ones. Tele to cammy and fish or buy a RAW cod (big net fishing). Buy a bait if you haven't already. Grind the cod, crab meat, and kelp with pestle and mortar. Use a knife on your bread. Use the spice from ardy on the bait. Tele to Lumby. Chat Cook. Combine ingredients. Cook it. Feed pirate. Congratulations.

Walk south out of yanille towards Rantz:

mapforogres6ui.jpg

Mine a rock when you get to them. Make arrows now if you need to (chop down achey tree, knife plus logs equals shafts, add feathers, kill wolves there, chisel their bones, add to feathered shafts, and finally equip them). Chat Rantz at position 1. Get your bow if you don't have one. Get bellows from chest inside their cave if you don't have. Fill bellows and catch 2 frogs. Drop ONE frog and kill a chompy. Skewer it with the spit. Chat Rantz at position 2. Chop up the tree and otherwise follow his directions. Tele to ardy and boat to karamja. Walk to nature general store. Go to beach and travel south a few steps until you find a single tree in the sand. Search it. Start a fire and cook your spitted chompy. Chat brother ogres. Take the boat back to Rantz. Use the last "charge" of your bellows on your other frog and drop it. Kill the Jubbly Chompy (easy but way harder than the normal chompy). Cook it on the spit at Rantz position 1. Tele to Lumby. Requirements -

Quests -

Monkey Madness

Skills -

70 Cooking

48 Agility

Bank all your heavy items. Wear the following (best set for me but not required AT ALL):

monk or zammy robes, monkey ammy, life or charos ring, mystic air staff, boots of lightness, zammy book, no helm.

Bring the following (also simply recomendations):

200 casts of death or blood quality spells, 3 super energy pots (4), 1 prayer pot (just in case), 1 antipoison (or higher), required items, and the rest sharks.

Note - Most (if not all) of both islands are multi-way combat so be prepared for a bunch of damage if you unequip your greegree at the wrong time. If you cannot use protect from melee then bring some decent armor to fight the monkeys (if needed) and the snakes.

REQUIRED ITEMS:

Amulet of MonkeySpeak, ANY greegree (if you have a big gorilla, ninja monkey, and/or a zombie monkey greegree bring them), a couple hundred gp, a rope, 1 click tele or a tele that doesn't require a staff (5 airs 1 law), a bunch of food if you do not have all three greegrees needed, an antipoison, a pestle and mortar, a knife, and a fondness for everything monkey.

mapformonkey6sv.png

Tele to lumby. Walk to gnome glider. Go to second floor (or first floor for the non-americans =p) and speak to Daero. He is next to blurberry at the southeast corner. Chat him. Chat the other fellow that you appear next to. Travel east and put on melee protection. Go into the hole. Kill a snake and take the carcass (You might not be able to do this until you speak to the king and the triplets. If you cannot simply return here after you chat awowowgei and the hear/speak/see no evil monkeys.) Take the boat across to Ape Atoll. Equip the greegree.

NOTE - Use monkey madness guide to get the initial greegree and m'speak ammy if you do not already have. Here is the link:

http://tip.it/runescape/index.php?rs2quest_id=82

Nothing will auto-attack you while on this island while the greegree is equipped except for traps and falling rocks which are both underground. Go to the gate to enter the monkey town. Go south east to the king and chat him. On the way there buy a banana and monkey nut. King hints that three monkeys know the secret. Go north to the prayer altar and charge your prayer. Skip any monkey killing if you already have the required greegrees. Kill a large ape guy with protect melee on. Save the bones. Go monkey mode and go down the trap door.

NOTE - There are 3 (or 4?) gorillas that you CANNNOT walk through. You can get trapped there in human form and die when your prayer runs out. Stay monkey while anywhere near them!!!

Hide in a corner and lure a zombie monkey to you. Kill it and save those bones. Go monkey mode. Proceed back upstairs and recharge your prayer. Chat the three monkeys repeatedly until they basically tell you that you need red banana, monkey nuts, and a big snake AND they tell you that your banana and/or monkey nuts are bad. Go outside of the altar area and sneak attack a ninja (archer) monkey with range prayer on. You can also go up some of the ladders and assault a ninja (archer) monkey there. Go west of the entrance to the altar building until you see a monkey child. Lie to the innocent youth and tell him that you lost his toy. Try to chat him but he will just cry (poor kid). Eat some of the bananas around there if you like while you wait for him to stop. Chat him again and lie AGAIN (shame on you! ... and me) to get another greegree. Repeat until you have all the greegrees you need. Go south out of the monkey city. Go west and pick up a plank if you like but it will not prevent a lot of damage. Go back east into the dungeon. Sprint to the end (map is here: http://tip.it/runescape/index.php?page= ... ungeon.htm ) and get the mage to make you all the greegrees you need. Either run back out or tele out, refuel, and return.

Go back to the monkey doorway. Go west from there and equip the Gorilla greegree. Use the rope on the red banana tree. Eat your fill if you are damaged. Drop one of them and pull down another. Pick up the one that you dropped so that you have 2 red bananas. Walk to the triplets. DROP a red banana. Chat them. They eat your red 'nana . Pick up the dropped one. :D Chat them again. They should tell you that your nut is bad. Go out of the altar building and walk south. Go over a small wooden bridge and keep going south but stay next to the stream. Equip your ninja greegree. You will see a stone that you can hop across. Do so. Then the tree and the other agility obstacles until you see a hole. Go down. Pick a nut. Drop it. Pick another. Pick up your other nut. Resurface and finish the agility course (decent xp btw for the level). Return to the triplets. Drop a nut... a magic nut (I got reported for saying "Stupid monkey just ate my freaking nuts!!!" ) Chat them. They eat your nut. Pick up your other nut and chat again. If you couldn't get the snake before then do so now. Go zombie monkey mode. Go down the trapdoor. Right below you is the crack. Walk down the stairs and around and enter the crack. Walk across the hot lava stuff (Zombie feet are immune to pain yay! ). Use pestle and mortar on nuts. Use knife on red banana. Use them on the snake. Use the snake on the long hot table thing. Admire your beautiful "chef"ery. Tele to Lumby. Feed the monkey. Congratulations.

#10. Final Fights

Requirements -

Quests -

175 Quest points

Must have completed all strands

Desert Treasure

Horror From The Deep

Skills -

I recommend AT LEAST 40 defense, 60 attack, and 59 magic. Combat level 90+ would also be nice but it is probably possible as low as 50 or 60 with the proper gear and patience.

Bank all your noncombat gear. Get the best melee armor that you can afford to lose. The chances aren't great that you will die but I almost did because my wireless mouse ran out of batteries... it was a long quest lol.

NOTE: Feel free to tele or better yet use the tele spot there if things get worrisome. You are literally 10 feet away from a bank so if it isn't going perfect just pull out and try again.

NOTE: You do NOT have access to the prayer menu during ANY of these fights. Drink all the p pots you want but you will only gain the bitter aftertaste and nothing more.

Get super set and full inventory of sharks. This is overkill for some people but I used it an completed each one with no difficulties other than mouse batteries. Go into the tele spot. This is the order as I remember it but if not feel free to correct me. There are rumors that the cooking weapons found in the chest deal massive damage so feel free to give that a whirl.

Pot up and kill the first guy (Agrith-Na-Na) eating when needed. I wasn't paying attention to which ones used which style of attack but beat them all in rune armor. He was a pushover with only a dds. All of these guys seemed pretty weak against mage so feel free to use that while in rune armor. After he dies use the teleport spot. Go downstairs to use the bank.

Now you fight Flambeed. He is not especially fast so I just entangled and waved to death. Really easy and I was wearing full rune just incase he caught up... he never did =]

Bank after kill. It is so close that you might as well even if you haven't used a single shark. Be safe.

Next is Karamel. Bring Full D hide (I used rune and wasn't hit that often but she looked to be casting ice spells) and either fire wave or a whip. Bring AT LEAST 5 restore pots. I wasn't having much luck with a dds but wave worked quite nicely. If you are using magic make sure that you keep your mage lvl at or above the lvl needed for your spell.

This was pretty easy once I switched to magic.

Dessourt. Also pretty easy but he would unequip my weapon if he hit me. Apparently ice gloves prevent this. I entangled and waved to death for another easy kill.

Gelatinnoth Mother. 90% sure that she has a ranged-class offense so max that out. Changes colors and can only be hit by the appropriate offense. In full rune she hit maybe once every 20 attempts but she hits twice at once. I was hit two 21s once and got a little worried. Total sharks eaten during the fight? 6 hehe. Don't bother trying to tell what color she is just look at your chatbox it tells you. The following worked for me. I had wind wave on autocast and manually cast the others. I ignored ranging and didn't hit once while meleeing lol.

Green - Ranged attack

Orange - Melee attack

Blue - Water spells

White - Air spells

Red - Fire spells

Brown - Earth spells

She hits hard but not very often and was a pretty easy fight as well. A pretty high amount of hp if I remember correctly.

Last but not least, the big che(i)f himself: The Culinomancer *Ooohs and Aaahs*. He hits often and relatively hard for his level but has low hp. Just pot up and whip or mage him. I found him the second easiest.

All in all this quest was mostly long not hard. The boss fights were not difficult at all (103 combat and 87 mage) and were actually kind of fun.

A couple of fun side-notes:

See #6. Pirate Pete for information on crab gear.

Cooked Crab Meat - 5 bites 2hp per bite

Crab Helmet - Looks like a knock-off of a d med with bunny ears.

Stats - +4 stab +5 slash +3 crush -1 magic +4 range DEF

-3 mage -1 range ATT

crabhelm0jb.jpg

Crab Claw - Gloves that only cover one hand.

Stats - +3 stab +4 slash + 2 crush DEF +1 str

crabclaw7hs.jpg

Meat Tenderizer - Looks like a [bleep]ed hammer. Held like a g maul but one-handed. Pretty cool looking and tradeable. NOT weildable until you can purchase from lumby chest, though.

Stats - -4 stab -4 slash +53 crush -4 mage ATT +48 str

nice guide, on the big one (cant remember which one lol), i trapped it on the portal and ranged it, and on karamel i hardly got hit, but it took 30+ hits to kill. on the gelatinnoth mother i wore guthans plate, mystic bottom, farseer helm, switching between crystal bow, air staff with wave spells and whip + rune defender and hardly got hit.

Really good guide =D> , buy you need to fix some of the pictures.

you should make it a sticky so it won't get lost again and not have it locked so people could still post if some things are incorrect.

Edit. Upon further (possibly not final) consideration it has been decided that guides for quests are not being accepted due to the fact that Tip.It already has a guide for it that covers all of the aspects of the quest.

Nevertheless, it is still a great guide. :)
