low def fire cape...HELP ME

ive been trying to get fire cape on my 70 combat rune pure, and i KNOW its been done at lower levels than this, by 1 def pures. the lvl 66 did it at 1 def and had only 1 more range level than i do now.

 

 

 

now, i get to the jad every time. ive developed very advanced conservation tactics and spots and im about as good at the cave as its possible to get.

 

 

 

but im missing the last piece

 

 

 

HOW THE HELL do you NOT get killed by the G :angry: DAM HEALERS at the end? they smack me 11s so fast that i can barely get in a shot against the jad before im eating again, and by the time ive messed them about such that only one is attacking me, ive got a couple doses of sara brew left if im lucky, and if jad didnt get a hit in during the confusion.

 

 

 

now this would be UTTERLY IMPOSSIBLE with 1 def, so i KNOW im missing something. im hoping people here might know what it is?

 

 

 

because frankly, im DEADLY PISSED at this and so sick of it. normally i enjoy a challenge, but after ive already spend 12+ hours on this with nothing to show for it except a hole in my pocket, a couple more lines on my forehead, another hole in my wall, a few years off my life expectancy, and a high blood pressure diagnosis :roll:

perhaps you dont use prayer?

You have two REAL options:

 

 

 

1. Move until only one healer can hit you and deal with the damage.

 

 

 

2. Luck out and hide from jad while you deal with the healers with melee pro.

 

 

 

The second is harder because jad is not as controllable as most npcs due to his size but would work much better. Use the western jut as a seperator and good luck.

I'm assuming you have a problem with multiple Yt-HurKots attacking you all at once.

 

 

 

1 - I usually find them aligning themselves with me when I attack all of them, so only one can attack in the end. The only reason why this doesn't happen (as far as I can think of), is that you're too close to TzTok-Jad and the Yt-HurKots do not have enough space for all of them to line up. You might want to try attacking TzTok-Jad as far as possible, not close up, even if you want to see his health bar.

 

 

 

2 - Since you are a pure, defence is hard to come by. If you are extremely confident with your reflexes, turn on Protect from Melee when you have time before TzTok-Jad executes an attack. Obviously, this is a dangerous option and should be used as a last resort when you're out of supplies.

 

 

 

3 - This method requires TzTok-Jad to be in a certain position. The basic plan is to run to the opposite and hope it gets stuck between the rock. Then you can safely concentrate on the Yt-HurKots. The problem is, you will waste resources on fighting them and they are bound to come back after a while.

 

 

 

4 - Skill. To me, it sounds like you're using Saradomin Brews before reaching TzTok-Jad. Perhaps you'll have enough to hold the Yt-HurKots if you conserve every drop of them till the very last.

 

 

 

5 - Luck. If you have ungodly luck, you might find yourself not taking damage from the Yt-HurKots at all, or at least on a reduced rate. Obviously, luck is extremely hard to control...

 

 

 

These are the solutions I can think of. If you post your inventory just before reaching TzTok-Jad, then we can work out what you're lacking.

 

 

 

By the way, are you sure the level 66 wasn't using Blood Barrage?

my freind said he entangled him and got into a position. Then again Jad you would think could rip thru a meesly entangle.
I have not even tried to go for a fire cape, so don't think I really know what I'm talking about. But... wouldn't you be better off with sharks/sara brews or runes for blood barrage? I mean, that's 3 inventory spaces that could be put to better use.
