Stadium Arcadium

I didn't see a topic for this album already, but if i missed it, just lock.

What is everyone's opinion on this album if you bought it already? The riff in Snow (Hey Oh) makes me fuzzy inside, i could listen to that for a while, the best riff on the album imo and my favorite track. John Frusciante is really sounding better on the guitar, and the effects on this album are great. Anthony Kiedis' lyrical work on this album is great and Flea is just Flea. There are some good songs on this album like Desecration Smile, Charlie, Hump De Bump, She's Only 18, Dani California and some others. But with that many tracks on the album, it can get repetative and some songs sound to plain. This album is good overall, but i would suggest getting it maybe on sale or used. I haven't gotten through the whole album, just listended to a few tracks tonight.

I thought it would be like other RHCP albums where there are maybe three good songs on the thing, but I was pleasantly suprised, because a lot of the songs were very good, and I found that three of the 28 I didn't like. That's a pretty good album, shows that they aren't as burnt out as people think. I'd recommend it.

I'm really enjoying it. I let my friend barrow the Mars CD (the second CD for those of you who don't have it or worse yet, illegally downloaded it! Shame on yee!) so I've just been listening to Jupiter. Best songs in my opinion are Charlie, Hump de Bump, She's Only 18, and Stadium Arcadium.

I played a few times at work. But didn't have the oppertunity to realy listen to it (at home with headphones). And it came over to me as nice work. Good pop-album (no, that isn't negative. Try and make an album with 28 GOOD pop-tracks). :)

I didn't like the limited edition much. The box is nice, but content wasn't too good. A bad quality wooden spinning thing (w/e you call it in English), some scribles and a four marbles in a sack. The quality of the booklet that came along with it was nice though. What's on the DVD?

?? Limited Edition sounds like it comes with random objects and a DVD. What does like the marbles, "scribles" and wooden spinning thing mean?

It's a great album, easily the best of the year so far. Probably about ten too many tracks on it, but the ones that are good are really good. Favourites are Dani California, Snow (Hey Oh), Stadium Arcadium, and Desecration Smile. If the album was only about 14 tracks, it would be quite a collection.

I love this album, Frusciante's guitar work is easily his best so far, some of the riffs are great, and the chords of the chorus in "Especially in Michigan" are perfect, just perfect. There are a lot of good songs on this song that could make potential singles, Snow ((Hey Oh)) comes to the mind instantly, what a riff. Some of the more funky songs show a nice return to the Chili's roots, even though if they do clash a bit with the more modern style songs. It may seem a bit long but compared to the 38 tracks they originally wrote it's a good length.

Overall, a fine return to the charts for the Chili's :D

RHCP are O.K, they have good basslines earlier music was better though. But they stole there stuff from Mr. Bungle and thats how they became famous. This what happened:

Mr. Bungle made an album called Californication which was going to be released. But when they played at a gig with RHCP, Mr. Bungle said that they were going to release a new album called Californication. RHCP then stole the name and used i as one of there songs, this is what made them more well-known. Mr. Bungle then had to cancel the release of their new album and changed the name to California.

Also Anthony Keidis didn't like Mike Pattons other band, Faith No More, and thought they were ripping RHCP style of music.
