change to economy if autoers stopped?

Featured Replies

what do you think would happen to RS economy if Jagex figured out how to stop all bots?

would it be good or bad for the economy?

The way the economy is built at the moment having no more autoers would be most likely bad (lack of supplies for fletchers and Runecrafters), but if there were no more autoers we would most certainly adjust, and hopefully get rid of some of the corrupt people in Runescape :) .

Fullmetal Alchemist, you will be missed. A great ending to a great series.

would prices for rares fall because there would less less ppl with huges sums of money?

maybe prices for autoer items would rise because there would be less supply.

The price of rares would drop during the beginning, and the price of raw materials would rise because of less suppliers. The true suppliers would eventually replace the money the autoers had and order would be restored, just it might take a bit longer to get large amounts of things such as yews and rune ess throughout the Runescape community.

Rares wont even be touched.

prices would eventually steady but would still be higher than with the autoers. I would most certainly pay more for a skill's materials knowing that autoers and cheaters are not getting the money rather than paying more and knowing that a majority of the money is going to a cheater who is gaining benefits in the game with no work involved.

When you look at the past prices for raw materials and the growing number of autoers lately, you see that both numbers have risen. Lots of autoers and yet yews still cost 250-300ea. When you look at this then you have to realize that we can't really know what's going to happen to prices unless they all skyrocket, wich according to past numbers, is what should happen if the raw materials aer less available. but of course at a certain point the prices should become more realistic because people just can't afford those prices and make enough profit for it to be easy enough.

Who knows what will really happen, all I hope is that all the autoers don't just disappear over night. That would not be fun.

EDIT - Signature far exceeds our sig limits but since it's so colourful you can keep it.

The cost would go up for the auto'ers favorite goods, then more people would get that item because they sell for a lot and then the prices would go down..they would eventually steady out.

Well, a lot of people are living off autoers, so I think the miners and woodcutters will make a huge profit :D

Prices of some raw materials should go back to how they were 6 months ago. Yews could be easily sold at 300ea again. Essence may not reach 40 each, due to the update, no members want it now, but expect a slight rise.

These are the two main items autoed. Not much else would change really. Don't see any effect on the rares market. When the news about 15000 macroers being banned came, rare prices jumped a lot, but this won't happen again because people don't macro on their "main" character, they just use throwaway accounts.
