Rune_Thug
I haven't played in 3 years, and I did a little runecrafting when it first came out but haven't touched it since. My runecrafting level is currently (25) and I can enter the abyss. My question is, what items etc do you think I should be using and what runes shall I craft until I can make natures? Money is not a problem.
kwimbob
Until 43 the most efficient way is to buy a whole bunch of dueling rings, non-pure rune ess, and a fire tiara. Use that method with the fire altar and you'll get lvls really fast, but you'll end up with just fire runes which don't sell for much (though you only used the cheap essence, so it's not much of a loss). Also bring as many pouches as you can so you use less dueling rings and go faster. Combat 116+; Total 1900+; All Hard Tasks; (Nearly) All quest points; (Nearly) All skills 60+; An aquatic moose ninja.Currently: Using 63 hunter to get some of those "Chins", then I'm going to range stuff down. Interruptions of agility when I feel like it, as well. And lucky enough to get 4 Dragon and 6 Barrow Drops.[hide]Kwimbob now looks exactly like me in real life except for hair color. Yes, this means I look exactly like the protagonist of that certain anime that my second character, Faye_V is also named after. Yes, I bought a jacket that also looks like his. No in real life I don't have a slain bear to sling over my shoulders. Yes, I'm that skinny even if I no-life it for years in basements. No, I can't shoot a gun. Yes, I can win any other strategic video game you have never played - because I probably have, ahahaha. And yes, I also have brown eyes, yet one of my eyes looks different from the other. And yes, I'm completely oblivious to the [real] world around me as I constantly engineer new solutions to daily problems in my head. When I get hungry, all that isn't food can wait. When I'm sleepy - nothing is of any priority in front of sleep. But at any other time, I never slow down. Never give up. Never Surrender. Makes for a good life.[hide]YOU'RE GONNA CARRY THAT WEIGHT.- See You, Space Cowboy.[/hide][/hide]
Rune_Thug
How many pouches can you bring exactly? Also, money is not even an issue but how much do duelling rings cost exactly? I could go check, but figure it'd be easier to just ask here ;)
kwimbob
Bring all of the pouches that you can use. You can use a small at lvl 1, and you can use a medium at lvl 25 (the others you won't be using until you can already make nats). Dueling rings are 5k each. (If you want I'll trade you a dueling ring per emerald and cosmic you give me). xyrec
If you didn't know, a dueling ring is just an enchanted(with lvl 2 enchant) emerald ring. You can probably make some yourself.
Rune_Thug
Yes, I can. Thanks guys for the info. I'm going to use my stash of Glories.
dogfever
If you have glories you may wish to try crafting body runes and glorying back to edgy. You won't sell the bodies you craft (unless you find someone training a mage pure) but the xp rate is higher than fires now the wall is gone and normal ess is so cheap you'll get to 44 for next to no cost. df
stormveritas
Dueling rings can be generally purchased for 2k, not 5k. Might want to be careful buying, and shop around a bit.
azielgoh
actually, i used to do the fire crafting and THAT IS NOT THE BEST XP WHEN LVL 25. Go to freeplay world 16, in the air alter. Get a load of cash and tons of noted essence (unpure). 5 people trade per second when i was there and u trade them 25 noted ess for 25 un noted ess and u give them 2.5k also. It's way faster xp than fires. i promise. hehe NOT GIVING AWAY NEW ACCOUNT NAME.
Doomster
Don't forget the pouches when mining ess (fill 'em up, then mine some more) or for non-abyss runecrafting. Any time you carry un-noted essence, you should be using pouches.
