It was possible to do Shield of Arrav quest alone

Featured Replies

I remember it very well, in 2002 I read a quest guide of the Shield of Arrav quest, and it said you needed a partner to do it, but there was a special way to do it alone.

I followed these special steps and finished the quest without ever needing a partner.

I'm not sure if this was a tip.it guide or not. Anyway, I looked at the tip.it guide for the Shield of Arrav quest for RS Classic, and it didn't mention anything about how to do it alone.

I searched a lot with google, and didn't find a single shield of arrav quest guide that mentioned how to do it alone. So all those old guides who told about this are gone.

If anyone played Runescape more than 4 years ago, and also remembers about this, I have some questions:

-How exactly was this done? I forgot how it was done.

-Do you have an old quest guide that explained how to do this somewhere on your HD? If so please copypaste the text here.

-Was this possibility to do it alone removed in RS Classic already, or only in RS2?

-Is there still a way in RS2 to do it alone?

Thanks!

You just get one half and tell the guy. You'll only get half the reward tho.

I did it in RSC, but it was totally by fluke. Couldn't retrace the steps for you

I did this quest bymyself..I think i found the other (whatever it is) on the floor.

There used to be fliers for sale all the time in the varrock general store and all you had to do was buy one and bring it to the king and it would finish the quest. THat's how I beat it. I didn't even know you were supposed to do it as a team.

That's what happened to me, too! lol

the trick (note that this is against the rules) is to make two accounts, and with you second account, get the other half and drop trade it. that wasnt against the rules in 2002, but now you will gte banned for doing it

Back by popular demand!

And I guess I just wanted to tell you, as the light starts to fade, that you aree the reason, that I am not afraid, and I guess I just wanted to mention, as the heavens will fall, that we will be together soon if we will be anything at all.

Actually what you are saying sounds familiar, infact im pretty sure you could. But like others I did this quest 4 years ago so sorry can't remember...

No, no, it was with only 1 character that I did it, it wasn't by making two accounts interact, I only had 1 account in 2002.
