Good money saver tip for beginner construction levels

*warning* this is for those who have the time but not the money to pour into construction.

Well I have fallen on to this tip that may or may not have been told. Did you know that at lvl 3 construction, you can make clay fire places? 3 soft clay pieces will give you a clay fire place with 30 xp. That means that 300 soft clay gives 3k exp. That lands you at lvl 17 construction. No need to buy planks and pay 100gp each. This will be very time consuming but not money draining because at anyone can make soft clay at no cost. Rate or hate or compliment on this tip. Any suggestions to make this better?

Remember, this may not be the fastest but the best money saver I found.

Then you have to cut the mined bricks with a chisel.

And lucky enough to get 4 Dragon and 6 Barrow Drops.

Yes, this means I look exactly like the protagonist of that certain anime that my second character, Faye_V is also named after. Yes, I bought a jacket that also looks like his. No in real life I don't have a slain bear to sling over my shoulders. Yes, I'm that skinny even if I no-life it for years in basements. No, I can't shoot a gun. Yes, I can win any other strategic video game you have never played - because I probably have, ahahaha. And yes, I also have brown eyes, yet one of my eyes looks different from the other. And yes, I'm completely oblivious to the [real] world around me as I constantly engineer new solutions to daily problems in my head. When I get hungry, all that isn't food can wait. When I'm sleepy - nothing is of any priority in front of sleep. But at any other time, I never slow down. Never give up. Never Surrender. Makes for a good life.

erm where do you get the limstone bricks exactly from?

You mine limestone and then use a chisel on them to make bricks. Or you can just buy them.

Yes - limestone bricks may well give 20 xp and clay only 10 xp per item but clay is much quicker - here is why

There are clay rocks in the mine in Rimmington close to the house. and for the cost of 5 (or is it 7) steel bars you can build your own water source in the house to make soft clay.

Much, much quicker than walking over to the limestone quarry.

Level 2 tool stores will give you unlimited buckets when you get to that level but before that just take a bucket with you.

At lvl 10 u can make ponds from 10 soft clay, which give 100 xp. Build an extra garden for 1k so u have an extra centre piece to build the pond. Mine 20 clay in the mine near the entrance. Take some buckets and get water from well next to portal in Rimmington. I think thats faster then lime, which takes a lot of walking to get.

Mining limestone is extremely slow!! Clay is much faster and you can use the rimington mine or the crafing guild, the mine is closer I think.

Drops: Barrows: 60+ DK: 4... Dragon: 60+ Whips: 2... GWD: 0...ouch!

At level 73 Mining it's quite quick

In a couple days I'll run some time trials. One for going back and forth to Limestone and bank (which should be Canafis, so long as you have the agility to use the shortcuts). The chiseling of the stones is pretty much negligible time because you can just put the chisel on the bottom next to a piece of limestone and click like mad. Another time trial for gathing up the twenty or so pieces of clay from either Rimmington mine or Crafting guild (with the level 3 tool shed you've got a free Brown Apron). The time for using water with clay would be a bit longer because you need to refill your buckets over and over again.

Thanx that would be appreciated but with clay you have to do two loads in the time for one limestone run just to be even. Well I have no members right now so I am just mining clay and making it soft. Trust me, making soft clay with water is annoying.

Actually Larders give unlimited buckets- Empty the milk.... Lol!!!

And limestone is harder, also because there isn't a very close bank.
