POH Room Time Lock suggestion (Also on official boards)

Featured Replies

This is my first suggestion that I've really bothered with, and I did it pretty quickly.

I did this to prevent future problems and to give another profit option with the skill. I love to share with my friends + give free stuff/services, so don't think this is just for me and be sure to read to the end.

As another option to make money off our houses, I suggested a time lock. You would be able to put this on any room's door and if a guest wanted to use the room, they would have to pay a certain amount of money (which the house owner chooses) in order to visit that room for a set amount of time. The visitors will also not be able to be expelled during the time that they are in a locked room.

There are many rooms that could be used to benefit from this option. The house owners could place a lock on the Study room so that they could charge mages to come and make Spell Tomes. The owner could put a lock on the workshop to charge people to use the barrow repairer, banner maker, or clockwork table. The owner could even put a lock on teleporter rooms (to charge for teleports like the Kharyrll that are otherwise unaccessable to some) or prayer rooms (so that the visitor can use the quicker ectofuntus-like qualities of high-level prayer alters). One more option would be a lock on the dungeon door so that the extremely expensive game that the owner has made would have an entrance fee (like an amusement park). The times for the rooms would need to vary. For example, visitors will need to be in the teleporter room for a very short period of time, while they would want access to the prayer alter for a long time for more bone inv's.

I know this idea isn't the best help of towards the current friendly, helpful atmosphere of the houses, but it would be another way for some people to be able to profit off of their higher leveled constructions. The locks will also get rid of the need of the possible trust trades that may soon start happening. For example someone might ask if they could pay to go in someones house in order to use the high-leveled lectern to make spell tomes. The host might say "sure", let the visitor in the house, take the payment, then boot them out. With the time locks, these trust trades would no longer be neccessary and the game would be a bit less scammable.

Currently: Using 63 hunter to get some of those "Chins", then I'm going to range stuff down. Interruptions of agility when I feel like it, as well.

And lucky enough to get 4 Dragon and 6 Barrow Drops.

[hide]Kwimbob now looks exactly like me in real life except for hair color. Yes, this means I look exactly like the protagonist of that certain anime that my second character, Faye_V is also named after. Yes, I bought a jacket that also looks like his. No in real life I don't have a slain bear to sling over my shoulders. Yes, I'm that skinny even if I no-life it for years in basements. No, I can't shoot a gun. Yes, I can win any other strategic video game you have never played - because I probably have, ahahaha. And yes, I also have brown eyes, yet one of my eyes looks different from the other. And yes, I'm completely oblivious to the [real] world around me as I constantly engineer new solutions to daily problems in my head. When I get hungry, all that isn't food can wait. When I'm sleepy - nothing is of any priority in front of sleep. But at any other time, I never slow down. Never give up. Never Surrender. Makes for a good life.

Yes, a "lock door" option would be excellent, becaus enow it's more of a "all or nothing" kind of thing.

Plus I think the whole teenage girl thing will end soon (hopefully), because my girlfriend is absolutely in love with him(she is 18), and im beginning to feel threatened by his [Justin Bieber] dashing looks.

Maybe you could right click on each door and say make list. Then make a list of people who could get through that door for free.
