That's by far not the case. Take a look at fire.freak's digital painting for example. That was done in photoshop. Some people called the "smiley-craze" era bad..., well, I was just about the only person who made smiley sigs then, perhaps 1 more - and I got complaints from just about everyone. Now look at this, just about everyone has a pixel sig now, and people just keep making and requesting them. It would be alright if only they differed from eachother, just they don't. They're all RS related, thus making none of them even remotely original...! The only pixel artists who I gets my raised eyebrow is Mixerxman and The_Jeppoz. If I were to request a pixel sig, these would be the guys I would contact. Because I feel that they are capable of doing much more than just RS related stuff, and they both have the details down and everything (unlike many others). That would be all. // Azvi. Sooner or later theyre going to learn that theirs arent that great, and theyll stop by themselves. Let them learn. Dont try to play mother or father here. And still, abstracts are MUCH bigger than pixels still... And theres so many of them. Remember there were posts about them when they came out. SO give pixl sigs a break. Thats one of the better abstracts ive seen. :D :D Yeah drew it, if you search for my old dragon/dino sig shop you could find a bigger pic of the fiinished dragon. However just to point it out once and, i hope, for all, i was talking about mediocre-average results. Every form of art has its good results, and they come trough labour, time and talent, no matter what platform/style u'r using. Good stuff doesn't come from nowhere or just for a lucky strike. Again please read all that i write before posting such things, not that i took it like an offence lol, just saves time to both. I keep stating these things all over the boards durning each of the common pxl vs abstract wars...About your sig...the tail + line zone looks glitched. fix it somehow cause it looks like the tail, there, has been faded somehow. to Azvi : Thx for your comment and i just noticed you finaly had that shrimp sig up and running, very nice :) And i didn't like those who flamed or ranted cause of the smily trend, even if u have to admit that, yes, u started it, but in the middle of the rush every1 tried a smily sig...I myself succeded avoiding the sigs but ended up making a couple msn display pics lol (Not achieving your results gotta say...). At Jumister: Okay, Mr. Ego, sorry about that. But I have never said anything that people should "stop experimenting" with anything, just maybe tone it down a bit, and not post everything they make here, at TIF. I only post about 60% of all the stuff I make; I usually post the things I'm uncertain about. However, I can't stop them from doing that, no one can(except maybe the mods and admins), I'm merely sharing my opinion about it - they can post their pixel sigs, but in the end, I will look past and ignore all those posts, and I'm quite sure that others will do the same thing. So it will all turn into some... vicious circle, basically, and I'm pretty sure that that is the exact opposite of what the artist wants. One more thing, I don't really think that you can compare abstracts to pixels, since abstracts is the most common form of GFX. I can pretty much say that every GFX artist out there, have made at least one abstract image in their "career". And abstracts can have so many forms and shapes - I'm not saying that pixel doesn't (!), but here, at TIF, most people have forgotten that, obviously. You on the other hand, are among the minority who has an original pixel sig. Kudo's to you. At Jeppoz: Yeah, I've been using it for over 2 weeks now. o_o Okay, I have said this several times before: it was originally Huang/Silent009 who started making smiley sigs here, and about a year after, I unveiled the secret, of making a ball in Photoshop. :P So that's why I started making them..., and I frankly didn't see anyone except Nadril and ColAvanor making them. So that's news for me. Good stuff doesn't come from nowhere or just for a lucky strike. I beg to differ. I still have no clue as to how I made my "Century Child" wallpaper - it seems like I worked on it for 6 hours, under some... trance or something. And everyone I've showed it to, adores it, and it probably is the best image I've ever made. Thus I consider that as a very "lucky strike". :P // Azvi. Thus I consider that as a very "lucky strike". :P Dunno dude...6 hours spent on that...i couldn't realy call it a lucky strike. You still tried and tried over and over and somehow got to a result. with lucky strike i mean...10 mins of messing here and there...w00t masterpiece...(still it's a 99% accurate opinion). About your siggy i might have missed your posts recently or you might have missed to post in the right threads :P and...well...i know there were smily sigs long before you started...but don't hide behind a finger...your lovely sigs turned it into a trend :) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
