As member of "THE" futures i should be happy, but it was always fun to train because you know there was another junior clan behind your back. It wasnÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâôt controlable anymore. But still maybe with a lot of hard work they could have settled this otherwise. I am not a member of a clan at the moment IÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâôm just posting my personal opinion. ItÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâôs always sad to see a clan die especcialy a big one. ItÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâôs like a factory that closes and 200 employees get fired. ItÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâôs so sad. IÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâôve seen a couple of there PK/trips and everything seemed to go as it is supposed to be but IÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâôm probably wrong. We will miss you phobia... It was our leaders. We were too filled with inactives, spies and other bad ppl. Our goal of a fun, active pking community had diminished. However, I never saw this coming and it was a shock to all in the clan. Fear will live on, I think and so will the memories of Phobia. Many members have gone to various clans including Adelais (newly found clan from the leaders of Phobia), Fear, Mori, Tc and even Tf. In a world where low levels were not tolerated, Phobia aimed to cast aside the stereotypical vision of a lower leveled player. However, the continuous crusade spanning one and a half years has finally come to an end. With great remorse, I announce the closure of Phobia. Once a tightly knit community of friends hardly deserving of attention, Phobia has come a long way in terms of stability, strength, and public recognition. We defied the odds, smashed the barriers, and broke the limits set upon us by the clan world. However, with each stride we took towards becoming a more dominant force, we lost a bit something that was the original foundation of Phobia. Respect for each individual member, identity for each member, and the community that has allowed us to stay strong through tough times. Ironically, it was not mass recruiting, lack of organization, or lack of discipline that brought us to the ground, as the majority of the clan community constantly predicted, it was uncontrollable strength. The thirst for strength pushed aside all of our morals, and replaced fun as our top priority. Instead of treating each member as a friend, a member of the family, we have conformed to the standard expectations, where each member was a fighter, nothing more. Where all each member stood for was 3 additional options in a battle, 1 additional number in the member list. No longer, was each member treated the way they should be. No longer, did we value community of victory. No longer, did we see the purpose of our clan. During the last months of its life, Phobia had become lost. Too consumed by unimportant matters to realize that our original oath had become insignificant. What we have stood for had died. This is the reason why Phobia is no more, and why it will no longer continue. It pains me to forever close the home that had once sheltered so much enjoyment and happiness. However, Phobia is just not the same, when it is like any other clan. Tomorrow, Phobia as a clan will be nothing more than a nostalgic memory in the minds of the 5000 dedicated members who served under its banner. Being in Phobia was the highlight of my Runescape career. It would not have happened without diligent support from my members. I thank every Phobia member for his or her contributions. I would like to extend a special shout out to those who have stayed with the clan from the beginning to the end. I cannot ask any more from you. I would also like to note some clans who we have interacted with greatly throughout our life: Fear: despite a rocky start in our relationship, our junior clan/senior clan combination was incredible. It was an honor to work with you. The events we shared brought out the best of both clans. The highlight of our partnership was when our force of 200 fought Wilderness Guardians and Descendent Guardians. Wilderness Guardians/Moriquendi: two great clans with great people. We really appreciate the support that we received from you guys on RSC, when no one else would stand us for that. The Chaos Crusaders/Descendent Guardians: the only allies of Phobia. Although we never really had the chance to get to know each other, we have always shown respect for you. Zeonic Force Evolution: you were always our role model. You were the very first of a new breed of junior clans, may your legacy live on. The Futures: although we have always found your attitudes a bit annoying, I must admit that you provided us with the drive to be stronger. You allowed us to set the bar higher and higher, and our rivalry helped fuel the determination and will of PhobiaÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s members. Runite Crusaders/Fear Followers: The two root clans from which Phobia was formed. So before I conclude things, I would like to share some statistics that otherwise would probably fade unnoticed. Records set: -Largest actively pking clan: 340 members, Winter 2005. -First Junior clan to have a 100+ turnout, Autumn 2005. -First Junior clan to pull maximum options: 402, Autumn 2005. -One of the top 5 largest war attendances in RS2: 175, 525 opts, Spring 2006. -First Junior clan to have a 100+ turnout at a pking trip: 105, Autumn 2005. -Largest level gap in any Runescape war (to my knowledge): 28, Spring 2006. -5000+ total members over the course of 1.5 years. It's sad to see phobia die. I know they were accused of not really being a "junior" clan, but I still had a vague fondness for them... EDIT: not al; lthe members had the requirements for fear, PHOBIA was 80+ combat, whule to graduate to FEAR, you needed 98 combat.
