Family Crest, am I ready?

Featured Replies

Pretty simple, just ask you to look at my stats in my sig, and voice your opinion if you think I can do it.

Advice also wins my love.

I did the quest with much less on my 25 day blitz to legends.

the quest is super easy up until the demon at end. well that is until you figure out the south tip of that cave is a safe spot, then you realize how trivial it really is.

keep in mind you must not only cast one of each death nuke, but they must each do damage - bring spare death runes. Finish it off with whatever choice of range/ magic. For maximum fun, use fire strikes!

Cheers!

Don't forget your antipoison when going to fight the demon, there's poison spiders all over the place.

Haven't played RuneScape since 12 january 2007 and it feels great :)

I did this about three days ago. It's really, really easy. There is even a safe spot for fighting chronozon (sp?).

Edit: A bit of advice sprang to mind after I wrote this. Don't use autocast on him until you have landed your four spells. I did this (thought I'd autocast a few of each) but it turned out he was so weak I killed him before I managed to turn autocast off :)

Yeah. You can do it. Use the safespot and take antipoisons and a teleport for insurance. It IS in the wild after all. The demon is weak. Just hit him with one of each blast spell and finish the job. I used fire blast to finish him.

the safe spot should be somewhere near a pillar thingy south of Chronozon (which is incidentally the Earth Obelisk)

He is very high level, I'd say no you're not. Since my recommanded level is 85. But watch out his spiders can POISON you, furthermore his players can MURDER you. So be on your watchout.

South side of the obelisk is the safe spot, as said, but with your mage level I'd say you're more than ready. I did it below the required mage level with a mind bomb, as long as you hit that safe spot, bring more than enough runes(bring enough for 3 of each of the required spells, plus projectile spells of your choice, and either teleport runes or a teleport piece of jewellery). Take like 1 antipoison(4), should be fine for you. The demon is the only real hard part of the quest, the gold bit is a little tricky too, but mainly thats long. If you can deal with chronozon, you should be able to deal with the gold bit without too many problems.

He's right. But if you use protect from melee you'll be ok. Only annoyance is that the hellhounds keep attacking you and stopping you from mining. However there is a safespot next to a gold rock to the south of the room.

:^o :^o :^o have you ever done the quest? I did it at 69 combat with 59 mage... He hit me once for a 16 then I got into the safe spot and owned him using 9 spells from start to finish. :-s

It doesn't sound like he's ever done it. He can't get at you at all once you're in the safespot. And he's amazingly weak to the spells you'll be using. The poison spiders that are there aren't very huge threats to your safety. Just any pkers who may decide to mess you up.

Yes I have finished this quest, I can prove it:

Anyway, I did this on combat level 90 something. And I wouldn't lie. This screenshot is NOT a fake. All I did was helping, and what do I get, do you thank me? No, you call me liar just because I'm helping. That isn't very nice.

HAX!

I don't see why that guy should thank you, it wasn't him asking for help. He was merely telling you that your advice wasn't very good in his opinion. I'll have to agree, you can do it with low combat anyway, good food or good prayer is pretty handy to have though.
