I was reading on one of the top players site that to save time whilst alching he used the mousekeys. On the official forums people were saying that this is illegal as it is macroing and autoing (which it clearly isnt, they must have been idiots to think that pressing 5 on the num pad is an automated program) and others on that forum said it was fine. Im guessing that if the 2nd best player suggests it, it is legal. Is it though?

ive never even heard of this before...sounds fishy. ask more people or just do it but there is a risk that it is illegal and u could get banned so i would take caution

What's mouse keys and are you sure it isn't macroing? Does Jagex think it's macroing?

It is not macroing and nor is it illegal. Jagex cant ban for this incase you have some sort of disablity or something that makes it easier for you to press the keyboard.

another, longer way to get to it is through control panel. Then go to accessiblity options>>Mouse>>then tick the little box there. It is similar on most windows OS's i believe (this is for XP btw)

You sure you pressed alt+shift+num lock? i pressed shift and ctrl for the first time and nothing happened to my amazement.

 

 

 

once you pressed it numpad should work as a mouse for you, i assume that "5" is click.

So it seems, just in case, it has to be left alt, not alt gr.
