matthew_t_d
I was reading on one of the top players site that to save time whilst alching he used the mousekeys. On the official forums people were saying that this is illegal as it is macroing and autoing (which it clearly isnt, they must have been idiots to think that pressing 5 on the num pad is an automated program) and others on that forum said it was fine. Im guessing that if the 2nd best player suggests it, it is legal. Is it though? Matthew T-DWhip drops: 9Abyssal head drops:
drgnrider
ive never even heard of this before...sounds fishy. ask more people or just do it but there is a risk that it is illegal and u could get banned so i would take caution
sheepdean
mouse keys are not macroing UNLESS you get a program to press them for you Back by popular demand! And I guess I just wanted to tell you, as the light starts to fade, that you aree the reason, that I am not afraid, and I guess I just wanted to mention, as the heavens will fall, that we will be together soon if we will be anything at all. sheepdean
for ye who dont know, mouse keys are a shortcut for windows users, in which they press ALT+SHIFT+NUM LOCK, allowing them to control their cursor without having to move their mouse - using the number pad. some people are faster at this than typing, and it is not macroing, unless you are not pressing thise buttons Back by popular demand! And I guess I just wanted to tell you, as the light starts to fade, that you aree the reason, that I am not afraid, and I guess I just wanted to mention, as the heavens will fall, that we will be together soon if we will be anything at all. glasscube
It is not macroing and nor is it illegal. Jagex cant ban for this incase you have some sort of disablity or something that makes it easier for you to press the keyboard. matthew_t_d
another, longer way to get to it is through control panel. Then go to accessiblity options>>Mouse>>then tick the little box there. It is similar on most windows OS's i believe (this is for XP btw) Matthew T-DWhip drops: 9Abyssal head drops:

You sure you pressed alt+shift+num lock? i pressed shift and ctrl for the first time and nothing happened to my amazement. once you pressed it numpad should work as a mouse for you, i assume that "5" is click.
