How is combat level calculated?

Featured Replies

Does anyone know the formula to work out combat levels? I need this for an exp calculator im making. At the moment I'm not fussed about range/magic combat styles, just the melee one.

Thanks!

Currently playing a noob called Viio.

It's some crazy formula that you proberly wont understand

Best/latest drop list:

Rune: 18th of june 2006 [scimmy]

Other: 6th of June 2006 [3 half keys, T]

26th of june 2006 [yellow mystic hat]

i think its 1 cb per 3 att, def, str of hp lvls

and 1 cb per 6 prayer

i somehow doubt it is very easy, as tipit spent well over a year trying to discover the exact formula, you could always work it out by inputting lots of levels into the calculator until you get it right

Back by popular demand!

And I guess I just wanted to tell you, as the light starts to fade, that you aree the reason, that I am not afraid, and I guess I just wanted to mention, as the heavens will fall, that we will be together soon if we will be anything at all.

What about magic and archery?

By the way you are wrong. Acording to the Tip.It calculator you need more defence levels than attack level.

1. Nobody knows the tip.it formula apart from some tip.it staff.

2. They aren't telling.

It would be incredibly hard to work out the formula, not impossible, but hard and probably not worth it.

There are a lot of posts here and on other forums that talk a lot about this.

I don't know about Tip It's formulas, but for melee, I have seen this suggested:

Level = floor(0.325*Attack + 0.325*Strength + Defense/4 + HitPoints/4 + Prayer/8)

not always 100% accurate, but this is close enough:

Attack + Strenth, Range x 1.5, Magic x 1.5, and multiply by 0.325 on it... (THE HIGHEST! OUT OF THE 3! NOT ALL!!!)

then add: Hitpoints x 0.25, + Prayer x 0.125, + Defense x 0.25

not always 100% accurate, but this is close enough:

It's actually: Prayer x 0.128 ...once it was on Tip.it and I calculated myself, but now there is a calc on tip.it so I deleted the formula.

It worked for mine
