Tupac

I once hate all rap of any kind. I only listened to 60s, 70s and 80s rock and metal, but now i'm starting to really like Tupac. Really the only rap/hip hop artist i enjoy.

He's probably in my top 10 for best lyricist in either rock and rap. My favorite songs by him are Changes, I Ain't Mad at Cha, Ghetto Gospel, Dear Mama, California Love, Thugz Mansion, Brenda's Got a Baby, Hit Em Up, Life Goes On.

I don't mind flaming.

I hate Tupac, considering for every decent song (Which is him talking into a microphone) he has five that are about hatred/etc.

He should give 90% of the credit to the computer generating the beats in the background.

No fan of any of his lyrics either. I've heard much more inspiring poems from children.

Yea, Tupac is arguably one of the best rappers ever. If you want some other good Tupac songs, try Hit Em Up (a Notorious B.I.G diss song, and he actually sings, doesn't "talk" like he does in others), Hail Mary, Ambitionz Az A Ridah, Running Ft. Notorious B.I.G, and Soldier Like Me. They are some good songs.

And LP, you say you like NWA? Have you ever heard 100 Miles and Running or F**k The Police by NWA? If not you should download them or listen to them somehow. They're also good songs.

The unfortunate thing about Tupac was that when he was in his prime, rap was changing from art, a brilliant literature in telling stories and feelings, into all this bling bling ghetto gangster crap. If Tupac was about 10, maybe even 5 years before his time, he would have been a legend in my books.

I like tupac's stuff from when he was alive but most of the stuff that has been released posthumously isnt great.

If you like rappers who are lyrical I recommend Nas (particularly the Illmatic album) because he's even more lyrical that tupac.

Yea Tupac was pretty cool. Have you guys heard of Chamillionaire?

That guy knows how to rap.

Yea, Chamillionaire is the only new rapper I like. The only new song I like is by him which also features a very talented rapper, Krayzie Bone, the fastest rapper to ever live who was a part of one of the best things to happen to rap, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony.

u should go and try talk on the microphone on some beat lets see how good it sounds, propably would suck as much as ur dad with a prostitute :-s all the songs he has wrote are good in their own way, they are all so diffrent, from gangster rap to emotional etc. :-w i dont usually listen to the song just because the beat is good as many ppl do,the lyrics are the most important ofcourse;P

I'd have to agree as well. I'm not a fan at rap (at all, most of it is just silly. Although I have never listened to tupac) but it 'does' take some skill.

Mostly I just give a lot of respect for rappers who freestyle, and just come up with lyrics on the top of their head.

He was definately one of the best, if not the best. First time I heard him it had a huge effect on me and changed my whole outlook on rapping.

If any of you guys haven't heard him, d/l Ghetto Gospel, Life Goes On, Hit Em Up or Life Goes On, all good songs.

tupac is special because he was one of the best lyricist. I don't see how you guys could think these lyrics aren't good unless you haven't even took the time to read them.
