dr_eggman789
I heard somewhere that if you kill a certain number of aggressive NPC's then they won't attack you anymore. Is this true? It's not the size, but what you do with it. Oh but for your southern appendage, it's size fellas! ;)
noname713
that person probably just stayed around the npc's for a while im not sure how long you have to stay for them to stop being aggressive, but it think its 10-15 mins... Taito2004
Its not the amount you kill, its amount of time, and yeah, its about 10 or 15 mins. 92/99 Fishing | 119/120 Combat | 92/99 Firemaking | 94/99 Fletching | 1878/1900 Total | 85/85 Slayer | 80/80 Prayer
Blaze The Movie Fan
You still must be NEAR them the entire time. When I went near the stairs, when I changed place the dogs came after me again. So they only stop on some limited time. I think it's 20 minutes. I could be wrong however.

Blaze The Movie Fan
I was only asking cause I was mith mining in wild and those hobgoblins are annoying as hell. Hell is the right word. Wilderness IS like hell. I think there is no exception of when they stop attacking in wilderness, but I could be wrong. There is no level limit on when they will stop attacking in wilderness. That's because it's meant to be dangerous. And somehow I feel like black knights hits me more often in Lava Maze than in Dark Wizard Tower Dungeon. pauloino
nope 15 min (approx. ) limit applies everywhere including in the wildy. Slayer FTW!!! Taito2004
Yeah, i dont tend to hang around the wildy long enough to find out if it applies there or not.. 92/99 Fishing | 119/120 Combat | 92/99 Firemaking | 94/99 Fletching | 1878/1900 Total | 85/85 Slayer | 80/80 Prayer
Blaze The Movie Fan
nope 15 min (approx. ) limit applies everywhere including in the wildy. Not neccessery, unless Tip.It is lying, the Desert Bandits will go on attacking you after the minutes they are meant to stop. So it isn't everywhere. Nobody can confirm about Pest Control as it finishes within 6 minutes.
ValaraZ
Good old autoattack :D When you leave the area to next loadingscreen the mosnters "reset" and start attacking you again. The time is around 10mins and u can stay logged in for 6 mins (if you don't do anything to rs client). Good old and boring afk training. Whoever appeals to the law against his fellow man is either a fool or a coward. Whoever cannot take care of himself without that law is both. For a wounded man shall say to his assailant: "If I live, I will kill you, If I Die, you are forgiven." Such is the Rule of Honor.

Nobody can confirm about Pest Control as it finishes within 6 minutes. these are exceptions cause by the fact that bandits dont auto-atk, so they never start this 15 min. limit at all, the fact that you can wear armour to make them attack affects this so makes them a void candidate for this rule. and as with pest control and the fight caves these monsters are always aggressive as they are in mini games. Rcty
Once you've been around certain NPCs for awhile, they stop auto-attacking you. Say you're in the Taverley Blue Dragon area. The babies will attack you but then stop. But, if you go through the tube then come back in, the auto-attack will reset itself. Rcty
Borei
Another point to note about this is that the "ceasefire" (of sorts) actually transends worlds. For example: You could be at the Blue Dragons in Taverley Dungeon in World 2. If you manage to stay long enough for them to stop auto-attacking you, you could switch to World 9 and they still won't auto-attack. (Yes, I've actually done this, just not those exact worlds or locations.)

But also getting a random event that takes you somewhere (prison pete, evil bob, etc.) will reset it and the monsters will be aggressive again. If Jagex ever made a perfect update, there would be players complaining about nothing to complain about.[hide=My Stats][/hide]

mrscrounger
Yes it is true. I think it is 15 or 20 minutes but if you leave the area they attack you again.

Yes it won't autostart when you log out. This is probably to prevent death for people with bad connection.
dr_eggman789
What if you log out for an hour or longer, and then you go back to the same or different world? Is it still in effect? Blaze The Movie Fan
What if you log out for an hour or longer, and then you go back to the same or different world? Is it still in effect? Yep, I logged out when I was past bedtime. In the morning before work they didn't attack me. So yes it works. But like I said, it is very limited. It could even change if the music doesn't. Blaze The Movie Fan
Music? What I mean is then you change place the music change. For example, if you go to the castle from the theiving stall in Ardougne, Baroque becomes Knighty. See my point?
