June 28, 200620 yr Every time i play CS:S it always crashes on me and goes to a blue screen and then i cant do nothing but reset my PC any ideas anyone? thx.... 8-)
June 28, 200620 yr hmm.. Have you tried reinstalling it? And is your computer up to date? Ghost: I am prejudice towards ignorance, so that would explain why I appear to be so.
June 28, 200620 yr Is it a blue screen with plenty of white writing over it? If it is, write down the STOP error code. For example: 0x00000000 (0x00000000, 0x00000000, 0x00000000, 0x00000000) Give us that and we'll see what we can do. Also, you may want to take down the error message near the top of the screen. (It will be in capitals).
June 28, 200620 yr What are your computer specs? RAM, video card, processor, etc? ==================================Retired tip.it moderator.Teaching and inspiring.
June 28, 200620 yr Author Ok first off the blue screen has no writing on it its just blank And my specs r RAM: 3Gig Duel Channel HDD: 700Gigs CPU: 3.4Ghz I dont know what my graphics card is all i know it cost ̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâã100 lol
June 28, 200620 yr To check your video card: 1. Click start -> run 2. Type in 'dxdiag' (without the '). Click yes (if the window pops up). 3. Click the display tab. Your video card should be identified there :) ==================================Retired tip.it moderator.Teaching and inspiring.
June 28, 200620 yr CS uses a pretty heavy duty Game Engine , your video card specs and currently installed drivers are probably THE most important detail when tracking down problems in a game. I like to fart silently but deadly in movie theatersArd Choille says (11:41 PM):I wouldn't dare tell you what to do m'dear
June 29, 200620 yr This is what has been coming up after the reboot: And this is the refered to dump file: http://www.darkwebz.com/files/Mini062806-03.dmp I haven't had a chance to take a look at the dump file yet. But it's there if anyone else wants to go through it and see what they can find.

June 30, 200620 yr Same thing happened to me on BF2 just because i didn't have a good enough video card.

July 2, 200620 yr Despite how big you think of your Graphics Card. Yes, it does help to know it. And with a 3.4GHz CPU, I'll take a guess it's some Intel P4 or something. 700GB hard-drive? You sure? lol. Do what weezcake said, and post back. By the way, 1 little note, you can't run 3GB in Dual Channel mode.
