Is it a blue screen with plenty of white writing over it? If it is, write down the STOP error code. For example:

0x00000000 (0x00000000, 0x00000000, 0x00000000, 0x00000000)

Give us that and we'll see what we can do. Also, you may want to take down the error message near the top of the screen. (It will be in capitals).

To check your video card:

1. Click start -> run

2. Type in 'dxdiag' (without the '). Click yes (if the window pops up).

3. Click the display tab.

Your video card should be identified there :)

CS uses a pretty heavy duty Game Engine , your video card specs and currently installed drivers are probably THE most important detail when tracking down problems in a game.

Despite how big you think of your Graphics Card. Yes, it does help to know it.

And with a 3.4GHz CPU, I'll take a guess it's some Intel P4 or something. 700GB hard-drive? You sure? lol.

Do what weezcake said, and post back.

By the way, 1 little note, you can't run 3GB in Dual Channel mode.
