I am, and have been for a long time, a legitimate runescape player, and yet to my horror, I tried logging in one day to find my account had been disabled. I checked my message centre to find that I had been permanently banned for Macroing :shock:. I panicked, thinking that they can't possibly have got this right. Then I remembered that I did, for a brief time, use an auto clicker for alching, over 3 months ago! Is it possible they suddenly recalled an old report and decide to permanently ban me? I sent an appeal and apology explaining the situation, to no avail. Is there anything I can do? Surely they would not be so strict, even though admittedly I did break a rule, I have not done for so long since? Please help!

well thanks for the good intentions anime, but its more likely they will forget about the account completely, it will just stay banned :( . Ive stopped playing for a bit, I will most likely come back and make a new account, its always nice to start a fresh :P .

 

 

 

P.S. This is Wippy by the way in case you got confused, Wippy M was my main, Funky Nappy was the pure I used before Wippy was banned.

I used auto typer a few times before, but I am lucky to not get banned, and I was a macroer too, only on fighting monsters. But gladly, I didn't get any black marks, and none till now, I am trying to acoind using them again.

Yep, it may have been months ago, but there is no statute of limitations on when they have to catch you and punish you.

Rules are rules, just because you haven't done it for a while doesn't make it right.

actions have consequences. by the way how can you expect any sympathy when you admit you used a macro? i dont have any sympathy in fact im glad jagex are out doing their job and making runescape a better place.

 

my advice is get another account and dont be so lazy/stupid/n00bish next time.

Ok I would like to clarify - lokisilath - at no point did I ask for or suggest I wanted sympathy. I just think that's it's slightly unfair in comparison, while some people in the same situation do get off 'scot-free', or at least a black mark or temporary ban. I simply thought a straight-off permanent ban was a bit harsh, but that's my opinion.

 

 

 

LJoker - I was level 88 with around 1340 skill total (I remember taking a screenshot of 1337 skill total a bit before I got banned). You also asked about varrock world 1? Yes, I have been there several times buying yews mainly, what relevance does that have? Note I have never used an auto typer, but I am a relatively fast typer so is it possible they thought that's what i was doing?

 

 

 

Also I saw something about f2pers being banned more, ill just make note - I was p2p.
