June 29, 200620 yr Yeah, the Duke of Lumbridge will give you as many as you want. The trick is that you must have started the Dragon Slayer quest first. If you want to get more than 1 then you can't have any already in your bank or be carrying one. So, to get more than 1 shield, withdraw in note form all shields allready in your bank and then go to the Duke. Then drop all shields (noted or otherwise) on the ground and talk to him. He will give you another shield. Drop it and repeat. You have about 1 minute to pick up the shields before the dropped shields become visible to other players. Btw, the dragonfire shield is actually about as weak as an Iron Square shield (when not fighting dragons ;) ) (all pictures by DroolMAN) Hope this helps.

The breath causes more damage than they could if you were wearing a rune kiteshield. Anyway this works. Good luck. Too bad you can't do this trick with untradable item. The max amount you could get would be 28.
June 29, 200620 yr ...Btw, the dragonfire shield is actually very weak when not fighting dragons ;) Huh? What are you talking about? You are joking right? The breath causes more damage than they could if you were wearing a rune kiteshield. You did see that I wrote "...when not fighting dragons" didn't you? Otherwise, what are you talking about? ... The max amount you could get would be 28. Well, if you put the shields in note form then you can easily get more than 28...

June 29, 200620 yr ... The max amount you could get would be 28. Well, if you put the shields in note form then you can easily get more than 28... You have no idea what I'm talking about. If you would use UNTRADABLE stuff like amulet of ghostspeaking. It would just be 1 if it had destory option, but 28 if the NPC can look at your bank. That proof is good enough. Thanks. And yeah it is very bad.
June 29, 200620 yr Leaves us with the question. What on earth would I want to do with 500 anti-fire breath shields? Woot, woott...teach us uncle kll...
June 29, 200620 yr go to wildy and leave tons of junk whenever a pker kills me? Fear the frog reaper. Hypercubes make the frog reaper happy ^_^ Or else I shall feast upon your soul!!!

Anyway, are you saying that untradeable items can't be put into note form? Or that you can't get more than 1 of an untradeable item? I'm just trying to understand what you're saying...

Anyway, are you saying that untradeable items can't be put into note form? Or that you can't get more than 1 of an untradeable item? I'm just trying to understand what you're saying... Is it important to know about if English is? If destory option is there it means you can only get 1 item of it. If untradable it's unnotable as well, and the max you can get to your inv is 28 so 28 would fill your inv and if NPC sees your bank, you can't have mroe than 28. But I see no point of having regainable items in bank that can be multiplied with dropping and regetting. They don't high alchemy for very good, and they don't vanish after you use them.
June 29, 200620 yr ...Is it important to know about if English is? Yes, because that explains some of the communication issues... If destory option is there it means you can only get 1 item of it. If untradable it's unnotable as well,... Hmmm, I'll have to try that... ...and the max you can get to your inv is 28 so 28 would fill your inv and if NPC sees your bank, you can't have mroe than 28. Yeah, that would make sense provided that untradeable items can't be noted. ...But I see no point of having regainable items in bank that can be multiplied with dropping and regetting. Well, my point in explaining the method is to show how it can be done. Some players like to keep extra dragonfire shields, silverlight, ghostspeak, etc in their bank. It's a useful trick to know since Runescape normally hinders getting more than 1 of those kinds of items.
August 16, 200619 yr Btw, the dragonfire shield is actually about as weak as an Iron Square shield (when not fighting dragons ;) ) (all pictures by DroolMAN) Hope this helps. Isn't Dragonfire better, because it does not give negative modifiers to magic and ranged attacks, that other shields do? Those -6 to magic -2 to ranged, while Dragonfire has +0 at both? Or it's not too important?
August 16, 200619 yr The Dragonfire is a popular shield for the F2P mage, with no penalties and even a little mage defence. Getting a number of them banked is useful for quick replacement of losses, though with a Lumbridge respawn, just going and asking for another is an option.
