paul_wilson
Well, after beta testing WLM i thought it was really good, untill the final release came out and stopped working with my account for no particular reason. After having enough with the people at the customer assistance I've decided it would be better for my health to get a different program. That or take an axe to the Microsoft offices... After looking around I've narrowed it down to Trillian and aMSN. Im not sure what one would be best to get, though. I know that Trillian can use other networks, though the only other one i use that it supports is irc. So, what i comes down to for me is what one supports the Now Playing feature and display pictures. Any other suggestions for programs that support both these would be much appreciated, too. First and only pixel thinger I made.

If you're going to use IRC, I suggest you get a dedicated client like mIRC or Chatzilla as those will have scripts for you to get your now playing stuff and that :P I've personally never tried MSNm allternatives myself, but is there any way you could downgrade to 7.5? :P I just posted something! ^_^ to the terrorist...er... kirbybeam. Faux
you could downgrade to 7.5? :P That's what I did. WLM is so useless. :: Guess the Movie Contest Champion: pfilc23 ::
Diminished2b
Gaim Messenger - Open Source http://gaim.sourceforge.net/&e=10384 Trillian is insuperior in every way. Make sure you grab the 2.0 beta line, much better.
Kwisatz
Gaim Messenger - Open Source http://gaim.sourceforge.net/&e=10384 Trillian is insuperior in every way. Make sure you grab the 2.0 beta line, much better. Inferior is the proper word for insuperior, for reference. Anyway I agree. Gaim has more options, takes less resources, is more customizable and doesn't cost money, as opposed to Trillian, which you either have to live with the free version of or buy (or resort to illegal activity, which is never cool). Gaim is also portable, so you can stick it on a USB stick and have your IM with you at all times. I do this so that I can IM at work without installing any programs. It also keeps all your logs in one place so that you can call people on stuff (very helpful, especially when dealing with companies that do business through IM and you receive support that way). handed me TWO tissues to clear up. I was like "i'm going to need a few more paper towels than that luv"
