Advice - Best and quickest way to train theiving
paddyj88 replied to bandit_loz's topic in Help and Advice
Guards then Knights. That's all you need, really. Pyramid Plunder is the fastest XP, but requires specific items and is a little more complicated. -
The only reason people dislike farming is because they either don't understand it or haven't tried it. It really is one of the more interesting skills. As for the worst... couldn't say. Depends on a number of factors. Some are useless & easy to train (Firemaking). Others are really cool but take much longer to train (Herblore, Slayer). So I guess it depends on personal preference. Non-PKing Combat ftw. ^_^

new browser-firefox, opera or explorer 7beta3 ? need advice!
paddyj88 replied to tyrant_iv's topic in Tech and Computers
Firefox. Nothing comes close. It's just plain brilliant, really. And if it wasn't good enough, Extensions give it an even larger boost. -
Is fire making the most useless skill for f2p ?
paddyj88 replied to noobnoob's topic in General Discussion
You can sell most logs to P2Pers for Construction/Fletching. And yes, Firemaking is the most useless F2P skill... and P2P... but hey, it's easy to train, so. -
~~Newer Bank Of Runescape~~ **Updated again 05/15/09**

Brilliant... just brilliant. I've seen many ideas like this before, but nothing so thorough. Well done. You have my full support. :) -
Pest Control. I got ranged from 67 -> 80 in 4 days. 60 -> 70 should only take a day or two.
-
Yeah, abyss PKers should all die a horrible, horrible death. Abyss PKing PKers ftw.
-
When I'm not doing Pest Control I play on World 100 (my clan's P2P homeworld). If I ever need to go to F2P for some reason I use World 73.
-
I hardly get any Evil Chickens anymore. I can only assume they're all afraid of me. \

I seriously doubt I'll be thinking about RS on my death bed. And if I am, then, I wouldn't give my account to anyone - partly because I'm a strong believer in following all RS rules, and secondly because I wouldn't want anyone taking credit for my accomplishments.
-
17. 18 in about two months. RS really does have a lot of kids.
-
Gaim is really good, so I'd try using that.
-
It really is best to learn HTML/CSS on your own. Dreamweaver is great for assisting you... for example, getting a template or basic design down, but you should clean up the code afterwards, since any code generated by a program such as Dreamweaver/Frontpage is always very messy.
-
I can't vouch for RAHK, I'll simply say 64 points an hour with zero losses is very possible.
-
The sceptre is quite useless for P2P, but it makes a good Edgevilla alternative tele for F2Pers.
-
95-99, or whatever it was, in 5 days, is easily possible. I did it with Attack. Pest Control is very fast XP, if you know what you're doing...easy? Probably. But the option is there, so you may as well take it. *shrugs* I PC with a group known as "Heart Unit", which is a group of level 100+ers that world hop every few hours to get rid of low levels. The average game is 40-60 seconds, and we don't lose a single game...so... yes, XP that fast is VERY possible.
-
J Mods can change their level at will, create any item they want... but they can't trade their items to anyone, or drop them, so don't bother asking. I was at a Mod Party last night and got Mod Hulme to say "Hi Paddys Mum!", so, it was a good night for me. 8-)

I understand it. It's a formula that has been calculated dozens of times before and has been posted about on my sites before, so it's not really anything new.
-
I've seen many people buying for 550, but I can't imagine it being too hard to sell for 600 each. Most fletching prices are governed my alching prices anyway, so they never move too far. I'd suggest looking at the Offical RS Forums.

Most people seem to be missing the point of why the economy is not going to grow back to what it was. With updates like this, yes, everything crashes - but the gp still exists. Now, it doesn't. You have to pay gp to NPCs for everything, basically. Think about it. Planks are 100/250/500/1500 each. Marble is 325k. Magic stones are 975k. Whilst the demand for these items will decrease, I honestly don't think people can alch & thieve (the two main sources of gp) as fast as people spend the cash on the new skill. Obviously this was designed as a money pit by Jagex to deflate the economy - so far, it's working like a charm.

clan wars no longer in the wildy? looters = dead?
paddyj88 replied to jessy87's topic in General Discussion
Too many problems, I'm afraid. Some of which are: A) Too small. Ancient mages would destroy you, and if you're not familiar with everyone in your clan, you might attack them (too hard to see cape colour) B) You'd either have to have your private set to friends or on. If it was on, crashers. If it was on friends, you'd have to add all the attendees of both your clan and the opposing clan C) Nothing stops the people who die from getting back in the ring. In big clan fights, you can't really trust anyone to follow the rules. -
Cheesy for sure, but it IS Jagex, so, it's kinda cute. :P

Many of these censored words are censored on purpose. For example, "phone" and "mobile" are censored to prevent people breaking the "no asking for personal details" rule. Some of the nonsensical censored words include "thats" and "whats" - you have to type 'em with an apostrophe. Not that I'm complaining, grammar for the win. 8-)
-
Cute. Obviously Construction was designed to be a money sink, in order to deflate the economy. Jagex = smart.

I think I've had one dream about RS before. And then, it was more about the people I've met from playing RS, as opposed to playing RS. I play RS enough in the day time, no need to think about it at night.
