aaquib5
I suggest u all read the terms and conditions where are the terms and conditions? i read the stuff about legal activity on the FAQ and heres what I collected Q. I have purchased your guide and I am planning to create a guide myself. May I please use your information in my guide? A. No, You are not permitted to re-produce any part of the guide under any circumstances. Doing so is illegal and will not be tolerated if caught. The Gaminghotspot team has worked for months researching the information contained inside the guide and would be very upset if it is stolen by other users who are planning to profit by it. We normally buy guides over the web and if we find a guide that is an imitation of ours we have no choice but to handle it legally. Q. I have made a site and wanted you guys to take a look at it, I used the video from your website so it looks cooler! I am allowed to do that right? A. No, to reassure your question not only is copying parts of the guide not permitted, but copying any part of the site including videos, text, or pictures is illegal. We have a digital millennium copyright law against it. Not to scare you, but Digital Millennium will accumulate information and call you or come to your door. They will also contact the domain owner and demand the content gets removed. Q. I've seen that picture of the book. Why did you steal that picture from that other guide website? A. To clarify any misconceptions, we did NOT steal the other company's picture. In fact we are filing a copyright claim against them. That picture was originally ours and created solemnly by us. The only thing they added is their websites logo. That still does not make a difference, and our law team has assured us it is still plagiarism and illegal. As you can see on our picture at the top of each page, our Runescape-riches website is still there, but slightly cut off. What they have done is simply edited the text to match their websites domain. We take copyright VERY seriously, and will not rest until all violators are prosecuted. Q. I have bought your guide and now I would like to share it with my friends and family. Since I purchased it now and it's my property, so I am allowed to send it to my friends aren't I? A. We frequently receive questions similar to this, and the answer is that you are not allowed to send the document to ANYONE under ANY circumstances. But you ARE allowed to let others view it through your own computer. The reason is because it's considered re-production. A loophole people have tried is editing the guide slightly to distinguish the guide as their property, but in the court of law the core of the guide is still ours and even if a sentence is ours, it's still plagiarism. Re-wording it would also not help you about, because as long as its OUR ideas, and OUR content it is considered OUR property.
sheepdean
their guide is copyrighted. wether or not they have breached copyright before is academic, as copying their guide w/o permission is illegal Back by popular demand! And I guess I just wanted to tell you, as the light starts to fade, that you aree the reason, that I am not afraid, and I guess I just wanted to mention, as the heavens will fall, that we will be together soon if we will be anything at all. So far from what I've read its completely safe. Jagex's copyright law is against sites which encourage sites that break the rules. sheepdean
no, jagex have no rule against trading information for money. now, if they were to charge real money for their services ingame, it would be different Back by popular demand! And I guess I just wanted to tell you, as the light starts to fade, that you aree the reason, that I am not afraid, and I guess I just wanted to mention, as the heavens will fall, that we will be together soon if we will be anything at all. aaquib5
since they are offerin a way to make money ingame which would be a service. And since they sellin it for real money they are breakin Rule 12 they're not selling an actual item, they are selling tips read the rule carefully We have this rule for three reasons: Firstly because we don̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t want RuneScape to be just a game in which you can buy your way to success, if we let players start doing this it devalues the game for other players. We feel your status in real-life shouldn̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t affect your ability to be successful in the game. Secondly we cannot monitor the transactions made between players outside the game, and if players swap items for external benefits we can̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t see, to us it looks like an unbalanced suspicious trade. Thirdly, often when players attempt to break this rule and sell items for real cash the items are actually stolen, so you could even end up getting in trouble for receiving stolen property. If you purchased an account you might find it suddenly returned to the original rightful owner and yourself out of pocket. anybody even you or I have the right to make our own tips for educating Runescape players and Jagex has no right to do anything because its our writing, our tips
