In retrospect i'd far rather have done it with Master Farmers because the seeds are fantastic and worth a hell of a lot more than you get from guards. If you've done "Creature something" quest, got the ring of charos and unlocked it, I found the fur stall in ardoune to be a decently paced, but very cash rewarding way to level my low level thieving. Varrock dude buys them 150 each with the ring, and I realized this after banking around 4k gray wolf furs (keep in mind alot of people also dropped theirs and I picked those up since the bank is two steps away.)
