Buy good stuff like Abyssal Whip, Dragon Two-Hander, some barrow stuff, staffs.

All of those things drop in value. Rares raise in value. How can free gp be bad? Don't get me wrong, I don't think using substandard equipment is good but he should spend extra cash on rares.

Here's my honest opinion on what to do with it.

 

 

 

Keep it, try and get more money whenever you can.

 

Buy the best items you can with the money.

 

A few days after Jagex releases some new, rare item, you can buy it and be one of the first people to have the new, rare item!

 

 

 

It's a lot better to show off than some silly little holiday item.

 

In my opinion, you can never ever have enough money.

but seriously, invest in lots of steel arrows, darts and knives now go to hell hounds and range 'em by the end if you've spent it all on ranged you should have quite high ranged and a few clue scroll items under your belt.

Buy Barrows sets or spend it all on law runes to level up mage.

Fletching. Either: A) Buy logs and get to level 70 B) Buy yews and bowstrings C) Buy magics and bowstrings.

 

 

 

If you fletch you can easily make a decent profit. If you do anything with your 8.5m, invest it. Rares, fletching, runecrafting, magic, whatever. I would hate to spend 8.5m on barrows and then have no way of making it all back.

Attempt to buy an easter egg, although you are a bit short on cash. If you are F2P, like me merchanting god armour can get sickening, merchanting rares is better. Buy an easter for 8.5m, sell 10m, and go from there. :) Multi-millionaire in no-time.

Full torag + whip + obby set.
