Buy good stuff like Abyssal Whip, Dragon Two-Hander, some barrow stuff, staffs. I see no point of having some holiday junk. Don't get me wrong, I don't think using substandard equipment is good but he should spend extra cash on rares. A few days after Jagex releases some new, rare item, you can buy it and be one of the first people to have the new, rare item! It's a lot better to show off than some silly little holiday item. If you fletch you can easily make a decent profit. If you do anything with your 8.5m, invest it. Rares, fletching, runecrafting, magic, whatever.
