Greek Monsters

As many of you have noticed, a new dungeon has opened in the Barbarian village. I was going through it and fighting minotaurs when I started thinking about Jagex putting monsters from Greek mythology into Runescape. Here are some of my ideas:

Centaurs: Centaurs would be about level 15, dropping bones (100%) and bronze armor (50%). They would wield spears and would not be hostile. They would have villages in the forests with training areas. They could have a talk option as well as fight and examine options.

Harpies: Harpies would be level 20, dropping bones (100%) and raw fish (70%). Their attacks would be with claws and/or wings. They would be hostile and live alone, possibly around the outskirts of castles.

Gorgons: Gorgons would be high-level, most likely level 40. The attacks would be claws and a magic-like attack that would stun a player. They would be hostile, of course, and travel either alone or in groups of three. They would probably live in the wilderness.

Sphinx: This would be a random event. The Sphinx would appear and ask a riddle. If the answer is wrong, the Sphinx commences to attack the player. If the answer is right, the Sphinx will fall over dead, leaving gold, big bones, and gems. Seeing as it would be a random event, it would have no home.

These are only a few of my ideas. If you have any suggestions or criticism, feeling free to contribute.

They're from both. Haven't you read The Oedipus Cycle?

True, the sphinx does appear in Greek mythology, however it is originally from Egypt and the idea of the sphinx was brought over to Greece from Egypt. I'm just sayin the Greeks didnt "invent" the idea of the sphinx, but i guess it doesnt really matter in relation to your topic.

Hmm.. I like the ideas of the Centaur villages, Gorgons, and the Sphinx random event, but the Harpies just seem kinda wierd.

Well, he's talking about the Greek version, which is a bit different. It has wings, and isn't made of stone. :?

My personal opinion is that there should be a restricted number of sentient species (Orcs, Elves, Dwarves, Gnomes, Humans, Goblins, Trolls, Ogres, etc.), and they must at least genetically and physiologically make sense. Centaurs don't really make much sense at all. I mean, half horse half man? For one thing, how many mammary glands do they have? Is their internal organs positioned relative to the human or horse body? If it is either, then what is the use of the other body? Spare organs?

Why do you resist? My experiments are only helping humanity push the boundaries of the Art of Toxicology... you should be proud to be one of my victims.

i like the idia, we could have that medusa that looks at you, and you turn into stone, but istead of it turning you into stone it can be ice barrage attack- it will have to be pretty high level and drop drag items.

also what about psyclops?

However will greek gods clash with Runescape gods?

i.e.
