I am thieving level 70. I can not go to the 6th, 7th, or 8th floors of the Pyramid Plunder minigame. For the guide we need the XP values of doing things on those floors. With the submission post the username that you want to be credited on the guide.

Searching an Urn USING FLUTE(exp divided between looking for snake and searching Urn, each is half, give me total(both halves added together): Floors 6, 7, 8

 

Opening the doors WITH LOCKPICK on: Floors 5, 6, 7

 

 

 

Do realize that doors are for lower floors, because it takes 71 thieving to open the door on floor 5 and if Im not mistaken there are no doors on floor 8.

The doors in room 8 take you back outside.

 

 

 

The urns give 800 xp on level 8.

Chest: 3383 - 3683 = 300 YES

Urn: 7143 - 7818 = 675 YES

 

Chest: 7818 - 8268 = 450 YES

 

Door: 8268 - 8718 = 450 YES

 

 

 

Level 8

 

Urn: 9178 - 10003 = 825 YES

 

Chest: 3 - 553 = 550 YES

 

Door: No XP

 

 

 

Traps = 10xp

 

You get xp even if the opened door is a dead end.

 

 

 

XP VALUES WITHOUT LOCKPICK AND FLUTE

Just mentioning that the urns in tomb 6 give 300 xp if you charm the snake and only 450 if you just search it.

Oh, just to say, I did this without a lockpick, values with a lockpick might be lower or higher.

ive checked about 5 times each time now, maybe only floors 6, 7, and 8 give xp for those?

 

 

 

 

 

btw, you get more xp if you dont bring a lockpick or snake flute. IMO, I failed more often when using the snake flute. I also hardly failed the doors more. for 2x the xp, i say drop your flute and lockpick...

Are you sure the XP changes when you don't have a lockpick?

This is with no lockpick and I only paid attention to the gold chest in the middle

60 exp for lvl 2

 

100 exp for lvl 3 chest

 

140 exp for lvl 4 chst

 

didnt get any for lvl 5 chest

 

300 exp for lvl 6 chest

 

450 exp for lvl 7 chest

Yes, those are the same results I got with no lockpick. And lockpick only affects the doors - it explicitly states that a lockpick would help.

How long did it take, what thieving level are you, and what did you get it from?

It took me about 2-3 hours.

 

 

 

I was 69 theiving at the time.

 

 

 

I got it from a Sarcophagus, level 41.

 

 

 

My technique that I used for the last half an hour was to open the chest and sarcophagus in every level.

Thanks guys. It seems that a few people are wondering if a lockpick changes XP values. Lockpicks do affect door exp, but not Golden chest XP. Sarcophagi dont give XP, but Golden chests do. I do need info for the Golden chests. I do need the values of lvls 6, 7, 8 for Using Flute and Not Using Flute as well as Using Lockpick and Not Using Lockpick. All info will be in the guide.
