July 19, 200620 yr Canadian (yes there is a diffrence from American) Elementry school: Juniour kindergarden Senior kindergarden Grade 1 Grade 2 Grade 3 Grade 4 Grade 5 Middle school: Grade 6 Grade 7 Grade 8 Highschool: Grade 9 Grade 10 Grade 11 Grade 12 At this point there are a few choices. You can take another half or whole year of grade school You can Get an apprentiship and learn and work in a trade You can go to collage to help get a job Or you can go to University to get a higher standard of education for the top jobs. Edit: most people enrole into kindergarden at age of 4, sometimes 3. Its usaly so the kids know how to act with others, and some very basic stuff (extreamly basic reading, and like 1+1 crap) We only have one year of Kindergarden in B.C. which we enroll at the age of 5 I believe. Everything else is the same though..

Primary school - 7 years (5-12) Secondry school - 6 years (12-18) - 4 years are compulsary - they can go either work or college at 16 years old or continue at secondry and complete 5th & 6th year. You forgot to mention that you only start your standard grade (two year course with eight chosen subjects, maths and english compulsary) In second year and the grades for 5-14 (Primary ones up to Secondary twos) go from A to F. A being lowest and F being highest. I think I have a sheet somewhere saying what children of certain ages should achieve by X years, I'll find it and post it here for you. But standard grade is different to the 5-14 curriculum, instead of letters it uses numbers, and the grades you get actually can be used to get a job or into a university. Grades: 1 - Top credit grade, the best you can achieve at standard grade 2 - Bottom credit grade, second best achievable at standard grade 3 - Top general grade, third best achievable at standard grade 4 - Bottom general grade, fourth best achievable at standard grade 5 - Top foundation grade, fifth best achievable at standard grade 6 - Bottom foundation grade, worst pass possible at standard grade 7 - FAIL I'll do the higher grade system tomorrow - I'm quite tired Photos!

However it has been reformed to be an actual grade, but not everywhere - unless I've missed some important news on that issue. July 20, 200620 yr Here's the spaniard system: Kindergarden - 0/4 years Preschool - 4/6 years Primary school First grade - 6/7 years Second grade - 7/8 years Third grade - 8/9 years Fourth grade - 9/10 years Fifth grade - 10/11 years Sixth grade - 11/12 years Marks are PA (possitive) or NM (negative) Secondary school First grade - 12/13 years Second grade - 13/14 years Third grade - 14/15 years Fourth grade - 15/16 years. You have to choose between sciences, letters, technology or arts. Marks are 1-4 (negative) and 5-10 (positive) At 16 years, you have some options to take: Professional formation (middle grade) - To learn a profession and start working. Baccalaureate - Two years, with the same options as fourth grade of secondary school. At second grade you have to choose a speciality on your own baccalaureat. Notes are the same as secondary school. At 18 years and more: Professional formation (superior grade) - It's more average that the middle grade and you have a superior titulation on your speciality. University. July 20, 200620 yr English in my area First school: years reception till 5 Middle school: years 6 till 8 High school 9 till 11. Then if u want you can stay on at sixth form or go to College.
