RS Classic question

Featured Replies

I have been playing this game for a very very long time... and at one point in the game before p2p and rs2 was even in development i remember for about 1-2 months if you typed in a swear or just random jiberish it would automatically come out as some stupid line of text. It was really quite amusing... I dont think many people would no about this because it was a long time ago. But some of you veterans might remember. Anyways i was just wondering if anyone does remember this time and if anyone has a screenshot or anything that would be nice. PS way way way way before fatigue. (im pretty sure it was at the time when there were only 5 servers)

Cabbage. It was a long time ago, I hope my memory serves me correctly and that is correct... :-k

Yeh i think i remember "Cabbage." being one of the responses but there were a variety of different sayings.

I'm pretty sure Cabbage was used to cover up inappropriate words. However, there were so many bugs that it would censor so many words that were nowhere near inappropriate.

Yeh me and some friends just kept on like spamming random letters in the dwarvin mines and it would come out as completely random sayings.

Also around that time the RS site was at a completly different layout and there was a section for mini-games and stuff in that nature.

(Still looking for screenshot if possible)

I remember the day when there was a gigantic glitch throughout all of RuneScape where just about everything was censored to "Cabbage!"

Not just one word, either, you could type a whole sentence and all that would appear is "Cabbage!" It was hilarious; I don't think anyone really knew what to make of it. :)

It was apparantely just a bug while the chat-filter was being designed.
