After further thought... I've decided that you don't need to post a reply as I figure views are just as valuable as posts. I'll also tell you a little about what this is for. I'm keeping this blog so that I can track my achievements, goals etc. as I progress through Runescape. In doing so I figured, why not show people what I'm doing. Since I hate reading some blogs that are nothing but long drawn out "reports" with nothing but text. These reports just bore the bagesus out of me so I've decided to adopt a policy that I will tr to include for all of my updates. That policy is... Less talky, more piccy. As I've come to relize that people don't neccesarily like reading what people do, they'd prefer to look at what they've done. Introduction

 

 

 

My little blog has many goals that I'll try to complete over the summer and into next school year. I'm going to try and post as many updates as I can per week, so we'll see how it goes. I have three major specific goals that I'll try to complete and the others will be happy coincidences. So here is a list of my current goals...

What Am I Doing now?

 

 

 

I'm currently cooking till atleast 96 before I start trading off between fletching and cooking. I'm trading cooked sharks for raws if anyone's interested... So far, my goal is to try and get 99 cooking and 99 fletching within a couple minutes of eachother. I'll also be getting a firecape (I hope...) in the coming weeks.

This'll be my barrows inventory and set up. I use the general store method and stay down there for quite a while.

I start out by killing Dharok, then Karil with respective prayers on. Then I suander on up to Verac and make him take a dose of his own medicine. Then I go kill Arhim and finish off with Guthan and Torag in no particular order. sometimes if I'm low on food I skip Verac and get him at a safespot underground.

 

 

 

This'll be my routine for a couple weeks as I try to work my way up to a Red Partyhat. although, if all goes well I'll stay there for several more days to get money needed for my other goals, specifically 30m needed for the gold to get 85 smithing.

Level 70 Fishing

 

 

 

Well, I finally get to go cooking for tomorrow as I've finished off my fishing goasl... lol that was quick.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Another interesting little thing. Me and a buddy managed to both fight (and kill) strange plants at the same time.

 

 

 

 

 

 

And another plant from a about an hour before the last and my friend also getting send off to ScapeRune becauee he threatened me... (atleast that's the way I see it =; )

After a long tiring day at work I'm starting a little bit late. I'm just going to make my way over to the Rouges Den to cook up my 1,450 Monkfish I caught yesterday.

End of Day 1 Barrowing

 

 

 

Well... bad luck tonight. I've made about 12 runs as I didn't have too much time, but I'm up 337k from runes and bolt racks. I am hopeful for tomorrow that I'll get some of my luck back.

 

 

 

For those that don't already know, I've made over 100m in the past from barrows. All my money but 30m has been from barrows and barrows alone. I took a break of about one and a half months and have decided to go back because I like money...

 

 

 

I'll try to post svery drop that I get from now on, I had quite a collection of pictures from before when I barrowed but, the typical story, I had to re-format my computer...

I'm back at it again earlier today though. So far I've done about 4 runs so far today and am now up to 467k profit, still no drops.

 

 

 

I'm going to be in world 9 for most of the day, but my private chat will be off because chatting slows me down so very much...

 

 

 

I've also adapted my technique a little bit. I now kill arhim, karil, dharok, guthan and torag in that order. Who ever is in the tunnel I go down and find him and verac, but with the aid of safespots. I found this makes it a lot quicker as I don't have to go get more food after I kill verac.

End of my second day of barrowing. I'm still haven't got a barrows piece on my journey, although I've been very lucky with runes and bolt racks. So far I've used 66 prayer pots, so I still have about 190 left (90 on me and 100 in bank.)

Hey, good luck with your goals. But i just had a quick question. Why do people use slayer dart for barrows? Is there anything special about it or is it just cheap.

^^ Its because you get all your runes back from the chest.

My killcount depends mostly on how many doors I have to open to get a melee brother at a safespot. I'd say on average my killcount would be 25, with the lest being 18 and the most sometimes into the 40's.

Glad I got it now I can finish off with getting 61 crafting and doing the new quest. It's not like I've done every quest (149 qp...), but I love magic and I gotta have it. The runecarfting exp should also put me very close to a level. I'll reply back when I've got level 61.

 

 

 

Note- I'm finally getting payed to work now so it's even more fun than it was before. (I volunteered for a while at my job.) so I'm not going to let runescape interfere with it at all so it may take a back seat to me trying to get extra shifts and what not that I wouldn't have done if I was still volunteering.

I have enough to trade up to a green now, but if I do I'm left with very little to further make money. After a couple more barrows loot I'll post a bank picture with the green and hopefully be well on my way to a Red.

Level 73 Runecrafting

 

 

 

 

 

 

I've been making a few astral runes since I just finished the quest (forgot picture #-o ) and I stumbled across a level in a skill I like to see level ups in...

 

 

 

So far I was able to sell 1k astral runes for 450k, I dont expect prices to stay high for long, so I'm going to go hog wild today and make some more while the price is right.

Crystal Key Loot

 

 

 

I decided just a few minutes ago after selling another 1k astral runes for 400k in fally I would cash in on all the half keys I've been getting for the past couple months. My main goal was to see how many half keys I would get from the 6 complete keys I had. The results were as follows...

 

 

 

 

 

 

From this I can make a easy estimate of (after trust trades for glories and rune related items) 525k from the chest. Easiest couple hundred k I've had in a while...

Level 88 Magic & 30m Exp.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Decided to use a couple casts at Pest Control and get 88 mage. I'm going to keep ancients on for a couple more hours and do some barrows with it. I do like using barrows there as it's amazingly fast, but it can be very costly if it isn't done quickly and efficiently enough so I'm going to make as many runs I can before I have to go to work (night shift. :x )

Well, ancients is too inefficient for me to use at barrows. I can't seem to grasp the technique. So, it's back to Magic Dart for me. After about 10 runs last night I got nothing and barely broke even with the ancients I did before. i'll do a couple more runs today and if I get bummed out on it I'll sell all i have and get a green partyhat while it's still in reach. If I do have to do that I'll probably go runecrafting for a couple days and get some materials together to go kill steel's.

(PS. I'm looking for a glory crafter to trade me some glories for gems/bars/strings/runes. I have enough for 23 glories and mgith go buy some teeth halves to combine with my loops to get an even 30.)

I'm still going dry at barrows... have had only the 1 chest in about 55 trips. It hasn't been my worst dry streak, but because I'm at barrows for a specific reason it's beginning to drag on too long. It seems everything's against me trading up to a red. My magic dart doesn't kill any of the brothers til atleast the 15th shot, whereas a month ago the longest it would take was 11 shots. I guess I'll tough it out because after the my last dry streak (about 60) I was rewarded with 3 items in 3 runs. Hope it turns out like that this time. I only wish it'll be Spear, Spear, Spear...

 

 

 

(PS- Still looking for a glory crafter. I haven't been able to get around to buying the other loops, but I still do have the 23. All gems are uncut.)

Finally, I gave up on barrows as I was feeling a little low. whats the best way to feel better? Spend money!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I know I went a little bit over the regular price, but I don't mind much because now I have it. I am now, I'm up north smelting 7k iron ore into bars at the Port. with the iron bars I'll make iron knives and I am still yet to decide if I should sell them all or go ranging for a bit with them. One thing I have decided is that for every minute when I'm online I'll wear my new hat, in hopes of wearing it out and getting to buy a new one. :

 

 

 

Later in the week I think I'll go down to Pest Control and get my strength up to 80 and maybe my prayer up to 60 as well. Until then... toodles.
