Fainting Symptoms?

I remember in Year 3 at my primary school we used to have these temporary buildings that got abo[bleep]ely scorching in the summer.

We were doing a science lesson and I was feeling a bit hot. I felt a bit dizzy so I took off my jumper, but I knew I was gunna faint or whatever.

I told the teacher and I lost my vision. It was like a static television but with more colours. She dragegd me over to a bin where I unfortunately missed and ended up with puke all over my trousers #-o

I later found out that when I told the teacher, I said 'Miss I think I am gunna pass away' instead of saying 'Miss I think I am gunna pass out'.

That caused great delight to all my friends

Well, when my friends and I were younger we heard about a way to make eachother pass out. Of course this came from a highschool kid so we had to try it out.

Basically they had me lean against a wall and hyperventilate for 15 seconds, then hold my breath, cross my arms across my chest, and lean against the wall while the three of them pushed against my arms/chest. I hit the ground instantly and was out for about ten seconds.

Looking back on it now I realize how freaking stupid we were to try that. That probably caused a bunch of brain damage. No wonder I'm so messed up #-o

That causes brain damage?!!?!?! Oh cabbage. Not good. I've probally had that done to me about 10-20 times.

The other time I've fainted not deliberately was when I had just had a really hot bath in the middle of winter. I stood up, my vision went blurred and I whacked my head on the sink as I came down. Apparently it made a really nasty crack. I did that again recently but I fell back into the bath. Luckily I woke up pretty much as I hit the water so I didn't drown.

Wow you were lucky, but if it makes you feel any better we are happy to have you :D Lucky you hit water though, i hit tiles and landed right on my nose :boohoo:

Got introduced to this fun thing when I started college. :P Only in a slightly different version: you only had to hold your breath in, and then have someone hit you in the back very hard (once was all it took, because they usually knew where to hit). The air gets knocked out of you, and you pass out. But I don't think this is particularly dangerous, unless of course, you hit yourself when you fall. However I heard horror stories of course, about people who had to be taken to the hospital after failing to regain consciousness.

"Metal isn't about violence or faggy whiny lyrics. It isn't even about who plays the heaviest and fastest. It is about invoking a sense of wonder and magnitude that no other genre can depict."

according to some articles that i read on the matter, some people get a high off of it, some people find it addicting etc.

yes ive heard that too, watched a few documentaries surounding it, :-k it seems that its just one of those " things that teens do " but im sure ultralord and i dont do it so it must be the ones longing to get high or bored out of their minds.. :?

On topic: it seems like lost of people faint when they stand up really quickly, i can't remeber the term for it, some one know?

When I was younger, 7-8. I wanted to play a game with the older kids, and I kept running after the game was over, and one the kids caught me and threw me down on my head and I blacked out, found out I had a concussion later from the people I lived with at the time.
