July 26, 200619 yr Did you start the quest yet? You need to start the quest to be able to get the shield. We don't rebel to sell it just suits us well, we're the bright young things.
July 26, 200619 yr Yeah. You get the shield for free DURING the quest. Get to the part where you have spoken to that guy who sells rune plates and he's like you gotta fight this dragon. If you don't already have one somewhere, you'll just have to tell the Duke that you need the shield to fight dragons.

July 26, 200619 yr you can't "buy" another from him, but if you don't have one in inventory or bank (you could just drop it :lol: ), he'll give you another for free Fear the frog reaper. Hypercubes make the frog reaper happy ^_^ Or else I shall feast upon your soul!!! :twisted:
July 26, 200619 yr Yeah. Anti-drag shields are all free once you get up to that point in Dragon Slayer quest.
July 26, 200619 yr Here are some things to consider about dragon-fire breath shields... You must start the Dragon Slayer quest to be able to get the Duke to give you one. To start the quest you must first talk to the Champions guild leader and then you must go talk to Oziach NW of Edgeville. He tells you to go and talk to the Duke. The shield is always free from the Duke. You can get almost as many shields as you want from him, even after you have finished the quest. The trick is that he won't offer you another shield if you have any in the bank, inventory, or equipped. So, to get more than one you must take all that you have with you and drop them at his feet. Then talk to him and get another. Then pick up everything that you dropped. Repeat. The shield is great against dragons but otherwise, it's about as weak as an iron shield with a tiny magic bonus. So, if you can't get one then you probably didn't talk to the 2 guys or you already have one somewhere. Hope this helps
July 27, 200619 yr You may need to ASK Oziach where you can get the shield, before the Duke will offer it to you. Also, as said, currently, the Duke will not offer it to you if you already have one, on you or banked, but does not notice if you are carrying them noted. I stocked my mage up with a load, by dropping and asking again, since it also serves as the de-facto F2P mage shield. No intention of completing the quest on my mage pure.
