slimysteve
Swordfish are overpriced because they are f2ps pking food. I would only pay about 400~ for Monkfish.
Kondor
I've always wondered this because monkfish heal almost as much as sharks, and are much harder to get (in terms of requirements, not fishing) i mean sharks only heal 2/4 more sorry i'm not sure lol, I agree I think they should be around 750 personally
rune0nite
Maybe its just becasue monkfish are so ugly i mean have any of seen a real life picture of one? Just an average player with a horrible name...
SAGE
I'm happy with them at 300-400 per :D Whinge all you want
Autist
Lol, who said it is good to pk with them? Fine, you use them and lets fight. You will get konockout in 5 rounds... An besides, guthan is for slayering, not monkfish. Swordfish costs 300 ea due to fact that mostly f2p players use them for PKing, you cant use monkfish in f2p. So they are almoust pointless. Only good fishing and cooking xp. Jimmy_Kak
You know the price of everything and the value of nothing. Things are only worth what people will pay for them. Like Tuna and Corn potatos, heal the same as sharks yet no one wants to buy them for half the price. I think you mean "no one wants to SELL them for half the price currently smithing
Darkduellord
im fishing monkfish atm, i think they should be priced like 500 each 400 if cooked. Their great for barrows and training and stuff. it heals 4 more then lobsters, and is like almost as fast as lobsters. Lord Diddy
Yet you fail to notice that the reason swordies are the same price as monks it because its the BEST food for f2p heals the most , which would make it equvialent to shark Swordies(f2p)=sharks(p2p Also have you noticed how incredibally easy it is to get 1 invent of sharks? same speed as lobbies
DarkDude
Also have you noticed how incredibally easy it is to get 1 invent of sharks? same speed as lobbies *looks at sig* Yep, just as I thought, you can't fish Sharks. Sharks are MUCH slower than lobsters are, can probably catch 1.5-2.5x more lobs than I can sharks.

All_Bogs
It's also too much of a pain cooking them, you won't stop burning till you reach 94 and that's a high burn rate compared to other fish. I suggest using the Lumby furnace, didn't burn a whole lot of 'm with cooking in the high 80's. Myself, I kind of use them as throwaway food when on quests and doing other things when I know I'll need food, but don't need to waste valuable food such as sharks on it. Nhs_Xc
I think its because of pest control. People dont need food any more to train. demand is low, supply is high = lower costs

People dont need food any more to train. demand is low, supply is high = lower costs hmm, good observation. I can still find a buyer, it just takes a few bumps on the offical food forums, but if there were no pest control, i think monkfish prices would probebly be stable at a reasonable price for catchers and cookers. hmm, oh well. i know i can still sell for about 400-450 ea, it is jsut so hard with others selling for as low as 275-300 ea at times.
