gotsol
It depends do you want attack bonus go with zammy book ( keep in mind it will cost you 800k to fill the book), if you want defense go with sara ( cost 75-100k each), guthix is alittle of both (25-50k each) zammy book is red sara book is white guthix book is green. hope this helps ~gotsol~ rsn: pippin36 RSN: 1 day late | Private chat: On | 60 ATTACK | 81 STRENGTH | 72 HITPOINTS | | 80 MAGIC | 13 PRAYER | 1 DEFENSE | 65 COMBAT |
kwimbob
The best book for most cases is the Zamorak book. It gives +8 to all attacks. You can equip it along with a staff for +8 magic or you can equip it along with knives/darts/crossbow to get +8 range. Also if you're actually using it for the prayer bonus as you fight monsters why not get the +8 attack rather than getting some defence bonuses that will be wasted as you have 100% protection? Combat 116+; Total 1900+; All Hard Tasks; (Nearly) All quest points; (Nearly) All skills 60+; An aquatic moose ninja.Currently: Using 63 hunter to get some of those "Chins", then I'm going to range stuff down. Interruptions of agility when I feel like it, as well. And lucky enough to get 4 Dragon and 6 Barrow Drops.[hide]Kwimbob now looks exactly like me in real life except for hair color. Yes, this means I look exactly like the protagonist of that certain anime that my second character, Faye_V is also named after. Yes, I bought a jacket that also looks like his. No in real life I don't have a slain bear to sling over my shoulders. Yes, I'm that skinny even if I no-life it for years in basements. No, I can't shoot a gun. Yes, I can win any other strategic video game you have never played - because I probably have, ahahaha. And yes, I also have brown eyes, yet one of my eyes looks different from the other. And yes, I'm completely oblivious to the [real] world around me as I constantly engineer new solutions to daily problems in my head. When I get hungry, all that isn't food can wait. When I'm sleepy - nothing is of any priority in front of sleep. But at any other time, I never slow down. Never give up. Never Surrender. Makes for a good life.[hide]YOU'RE GONNA CARRY THAT WEIGHT.- See You, Space Cowboy.[/hide][/hide]

tyrant_iv
i want 2 get a zammy book, but that is 800k- pushing it gp wise for now. if you dont have that kinda money for 1 item, i'd go with the sara book, because of the combat triangle, you aren't going to need magic attk and def at the same time, at least not in tiny bits like +4 xp. RAHK
Zammy book = Best offense and therefore the best book. Most expensive. Sara book = Best defense and therefore useful against magic using opponents (lots of slayer monsters). Middle price range. Guthix book = Half of each and therefore the worst for specific tasks but the most flexible. Cheapest. If you can only afford the guthix book then get it. If you can afford the Zammy book, get that. Only get the sara book if you have already bought the zammy book. PM me in game to use some skills of mine (glories/potions) free or to ask a question.Fire Cape - 04/29/06 Lvl 104RAHK's Pro PC Gear and Guide(clickable) Tired of hack and slash? FPSers getting old? blakdragon39
Well, the biggest point I think is, if you're getting a god book, chances are its for the prayer bonus right? And if you're gonna be using protection prayers, why have a defence bonus if your not gonna get hit? Like Barrows for example. But, if your gonna use it for pking, maybe the defence bonus from Guthix would be good, cause they can hit through prayer. I don't see why you need a defence bonus if your using prayer, so Saradomin book isn't that great in my eyes.

Since when does having the best offense mean that its the best book.. its all down to personal opinion or what you need to have more of when fighting a monster. d3vilbro
I say Zammy, it will help a lot while doing things like barrows or if you range with a 1 handed weapon (like knives) on things like Fire Giants... I_Xpk3r_I: Future Mayhem Maker
Nickelliston
Haven't defenders reduced the need to have an offensive "shield" like the zammy book? My friend you would not tell with such high zest / to children ardent for some desperate glory / the old lie: Dulce et decorum est / pro patria mori. These 'noobs' are not people as such, they are soulless creations of corporate greed.
