you should go download GraphicsGale or something like that, its free and its what i use. its real easy to change colors using the color pannel to make them blend together really nicely

i think you can go to download.com and find it on there or maybe go to google and type in GraphicsGale download? i think i got mine off of google

paint is just as easy if not easier than GG...only difference is in paint no layers or transparency

dont get graphics gale, i had it and i hated it... paint is the best program to use for pixels, and to shade..well use a tutorial:

also you can zoom to 4000% in GG, i love doing that, thats what i do when i shade which is why i hate paint since you cant zoom in as far as i'd like to
