Yeah i see what your saying... a little sword holder type thing...? so then it doesnt look like your carrying a weapon and still saves you that one inventory slot. I don't think it could work with like certain barrow items/2 handed items. Imaging a granite maul in your sheath or whatever you call it...

barrows items could work, for example torags hammers would have a holster on each side of the belt, one for each hammer. Guthans spear could just have a big long sheath that straps onto your back. Ahrims just needs a strap to be attached to the back. Dharoks could strap on the back just like guthans spear. Veracs flail... im not sure how that would work. karils x bow could just have a holster like torags hammers. i think that would work pretty good

right and the maul would be like how you hold it in your hands just revirsed

I could easily picture a leather sheath around the waste supporting a rune scimitar... I mean, you'd tear it up if you try and stab your blade into it, but it would work.

However for RS purposes, I'd say go with the Weapon Metal Type = Sheath Metal Type idea.

Sheaths probably wouldn't have any more purpose than a Saradomin Platebody. They just look nice.

They also would have to provide a nice defense bonus, just like a rune platebody, though...

Next we shall have cannonball cases, after which there will be a huge rush for plastic covers for your d hide. In the following intensity a Sheath/Case making skill will follow which will be hugely frowned upon by people that cant afford the resources. Sheaths? It's just another fad in my opinion. Would be cool but so many designs people would look, TOO different.

I'm wishing we could just custom color capes buy like getting the red yellow and blue dyes and use them on the cape and like at lvl 45 crafting people could custom color their own capes

But the sword sheath sounds useless to me

I dont like the idea of another item to clutter my inventory/bank further however if they were to implement them into the character models so that when you aren't weilding a weapon but still equiped it is attached to your belt (for swords, daggers, crossbows, coiled whip etc) or for larger items they are on your back (battleaxes, warhammers, maces, all 2h weapons, bows with arrow pouch)

This person sees what I am talking about!!! There's no need for extra objects to smith!!! You just simply take and put general ones that will work for anything of each type (dagger, sword, 2-hander, staffs, and bow&arrows) in for holstering the item. No frustration, no mess, and lots of happy players!

'Nuff said. Get my name on the petition, as well as all agreeing people, and send it in to Jagex. Let's get this party started!
