Ok You know how for your bank pin you have to click the numbers to enter the code ? Well i was thinking why not make the main page like that? All Jagex has to do is make it where you click the numbers to enter your password. And you can also turn it off like your bank pin. No numbers entered on the keyboard no keyloggers. :mrgreen: Please give me your thoughts.

I was thinking the same thing for a while and wondered why it was never implemented.

 

 

 

A lot of keyloggers with the technology can take screenshots of each click yes it's true.... BUT i beleive they just know where you click...correct me if i'm wrong but Jagex fixed that problem by mixing up all the numbers in your bank pin :D. And quite often, what are the chances that when you click on an add and get a keylogger(s), that they actually want to play a game like this... -.-

I think that if you were world hopping, it would soon become very tedious. Having said that though, an option to turn it on or off like the bank PIN might not be so bad, although I'd have it turned off.

Yeah this would take ages and ages to enter. Also anyone looking over your shoulder would see your password (this is bad enough with pins)

well it would be a LOT WORSE TO HAVE TO get all your stuff back from a keylogger wouldent it? For example i have a bank pin, it gets very annoying to enter it all the time i log out, but i would rather have that then have to get all my stuff back

I personally play maple story,but since its all combat its not that fun, even if its entirly free(besides cash shop), So if 1million+maplestory players can take the pin id think runescape players can too, i like the idea, it can prevent hackers too(or give them more work).

On topic, this would possibly eliminte the "Jagex Blocks your pass!!!" scam, but only if you required a pin number in addition to your password. Also, it could also be adapted to get rid of autoers by posting a mesage like Choose the (Spells a random colour with distored letters, shows the word in multiple colours) option , now it shows 3 different optoins, one meeting the specified option (but the letters are distorted differently), one is close to meeting the specified option, the last being obviously wrong, also the 3 answers appear in random places.

If hackers are determined enough(they are), they will get past this too. If they want it bad enough, they will find a way to get past protection sytems like this. And you can just turn on the on screen keyboard which is basically the same thing.
