Im thinking about buying a camera, whos got any ideas?

 

 

 

I havent got the money for it yet (âââ¬Å¡Ã¬83 Lol) but i need a general look

 

on what kind of cameras are out there, how much money ill need.

 

 

 

Requirements: Id like it to have a USB connection (that isnt hard to find)

 

quite a powerful zoom, that takes sharp pictures when zooming. for animals and stuff. And the maximum id like to spend is arround âââ¬Å¡Ã¬400-âââ¬Å¡Ã¬600.

But i've got 2 camera's, my main is a Canon 350d (AWESOME CAMERA, seriously it is top of the line in amature and mid range professional, so simple and easy to use i cannot praise it enough) and my second (or backup) camera is my Canon powershot S3 IS (high end amature or low end professional) again beautiful to work with, i actually prefer this for close up shot's over my 350d, hence why i keep it, but they are only good cameras if you know how to change the settings to your own particular likings, the things about cameras is what might work incredibly well for one person may be aweful for you.

 

 

 

So really what you need to do is get a camera that your comfortable with, find out what is in your price range that is high quality, then goto a camera shop, pick them up and have a play. See what you like.

The big brands that i would personally stay away from are both Kodak and Pentax, they are my STAY THE HELL AWAY from brands. But again personal choices...

More recommendations? anyone?

Personally when I shop for a digital camera I go out and find some that meet my specs... buy one try it out if it does not meet my expectations I return it and go to the next model.

 

 

 

From my experience there is nothing wrong with Kodak or Pentax cameras (have used some at work). I have also used Canon and was impressed with their value/picture quality.

 

 

 

Personally I own a Sony 7.2 right now which replaced a Kodak that I have had for years.

 

 

 

What you should think about is how much you intend to use it. What you want to use it on etc. Then find out what models suit your needs and are in an acceptable price range and do your research from there.

As for the Canon 350D, it looks quite good. A pretty good 8 MP aswell. Street price, it says, is $700 - thats about 545 euros.

 

 

 

I need to get myself a good camera too. I'm stuck with a crappy Fujifilm something-or-other.

Are you looking for a fixed lens or an SLR? If your really into photography, I would suggest an SLR. But at 600 bucks, you could buy the body but really not any lenses. On eBay, you can buy a Nikon d70s (the body, 3 lenses, some filters, 1 soft carrying case, 1 hard carrying case, a tripod, and some other accessories) for about $1100. This is what I'm going to eventually do (or maybe by the Sony alpha...idk). But if you just want a fixed lens, I can't really help ya there, don't know prices or anything on them.
