frequentflyr
Download a program that can remote control another computer, such as Remote Administrator. There are many others if you don't like the way this one works, but this is my favorite. Just get the other computer, or the other person, to install it and it should work perfectly. 4388 to 99 cooking

Chris
For Windows XP to Windows XP... Remote assistance. For any other OS, A VNC client like Bmms suggested. Notoriously Trollish.

Leaving an open gateway to a system full time is not a great idea, password protected or not. Anesthesia
Sometimes it is necessary though, for example when I left one machine at home and wanted to control it from uni. Some people are changed by being a moderator. I wouldn't be.

JimiWasGod
i must have problems with firewall or something, b/c non of these programs work.
Albosky
if the system you are trying to control has an active firewall running , you will need to make sure that the application is granted "server access" to the internet , this will allow incoming connections .
