September 18, 200619 yr Some ppl have told me curse failing is a fast way to get magic exp. my question is, what exactly is it? do i continually cast curse on the same monster? Free drum lessons at drumexpert.com
September 18, 200619 yr Curse failing means to cast a curse spell on a monster while wearing metal armour that gives a lot of -magic attack. If your curse fails, you still get magic exp for it and you are able to cast it again on the same monster. If it didn't fail, you would have to change monsters with each successful spell.

I don't know if it has a message or anything, but if you can cast it again on the same monster then it failed. If you can't cast it again, it'll say something like "This monster is already weakened." It should also splash when it hits to show that it fails.
September 18, 200619 yr Fail = splash effect Success = purple rings effect - a bit like the rune essence teleport.
September 18, 200619 yr Curse failing means to cast a curse spell on a monster while wearing metal armour that gives a lot of -magic attack. Yes. With a full helm, plate, legs, and kite shield of any metal you get a -65 magic attack stat. That is enough to always fail when casting a Curse. To save on runes you could wield an earth staff and green dragonhide vambraces as well. You could also wear the stronghold boots, too. If your curse fails, you still get magic exp for it Yes, always 29 mage exp. and you are able to cast it again on the same monster. If it didn't fail, you would have to change monsters with each successful spell. The red monk under the Varrock palace stairs is said to recover quickly from Curses. But, I always liked casting from the key room in the Varrock sewers into the 4 zombie ladder room. Hope this helps
September 18, 200619 yr It's most effective on the priest underneath the stairs in varrock castle. It's a v cheap but boring method of raising your magic.
