Nadril
Possibly one of the worst mistakes any company could make that game is. They turned it from one of the best MMORPG's ever made into a (no offence) steaming pile of poo. Make's me sad to see class based gameplay in SWG :(
zerofiend14
no offence taken i know they made a mistake and thankfully i never played PRE-CU so now i can play the game I love today =D>
Nadril
Yeah i'm sure it's fine with new player's these day's. I can't tell you much about it at all (I never got the chance to play PRE-CU  ) but I can tell you I have heard so many amazing storys about it, and the SWG forums on MMORPG.com kind of reflect that. They have been improving it at least as of latly, however, but too bad they never kept it skill based. :) . And hey, compared to some of the crap in the world of MMO's today it's not bad. (and this is coming from someone who hates SOE in general)
Adam007
I played it two (or three?) summers ago for the two week free demo. I really loved it, and it made runescape seem so pointless in comparison. At one point I found it funny I ever wasted time on the game. For some reason that viewpoint disappeared after I went back to rs. :( But yeah, the game's really fun. I love the absolute vastness of the map and open endedness of everything you can do. honeo
I played it for a while but then they changed the Combat System. Eww... ewww! They ruined the game in my opinion. I was a Commando/Creature Handler/Other stuff. None of this level crap was involved. I had a factory making only fireworks  FTW!! Hah. Well I'm glad you enjoy playing. Oh and btw I played on the TEMPEST server. EDIT: I just looked at the website, for old times sake. OMG THEY GOT RID OF CREATURE HANDLING!! Or is it a sub-profession? I dunno... I loved riding around my little creatures! I loved by Nunca to :). I have to say this is nice.. A reward for playing for 3 years. Private Shuttle Travel Vehicle. Totally sweet! Training my pure! Mercifull
What a stupid topic title. I thought this was about the new image format .SVG (thought you typod the V) Mercifull <3 Suzi "We don't want players to be able to buy their way to success in RuneScape. BlueTear
I played it for two years, right up until they introduced the "New Game Enhancements". Well, strictly speaking, I hit 'cancel' and told them to give me my money back for my preordered expansion the moment I heard of it, and pretty much only logged in after that to set my houses straight and pull them up. I still think it's the MMORPG that *had* the singlemost potential that for some freaky corporate reason was never - even more than two years after release - realized. Used to muck about on Chimaera, with a various variations of pistoleer, ranging from the classic pistoleer/fencer combo, to a CM/BH/Pistoleer hybrid. I had a jedi, but I got him because I got bored of hunting jedi and needed something to do (85% saber block is, well was, friggin ret... err.. stupid). Now that I think about it, I was probably a pistoleer for pretty much the entire time on one character or another, except for badge grinding. Then again, I was kinda of influenced by my guildmaster, who was a real pistoleer freak (he did a fair bit of time as the pistoleer correspondent, go figure). I also had an alt which I took to tailor/shipwright. Made quite a few pieces of clothing (designing a collection of spacewear is surprisingly therapeutic), and a fair bit of money. (Which I spent on ADK's, which they nerfed in the NGE, which was just one more reason to quit. I worked bloody hard for those 150ish million of pretend cash!) What a stupid topic title. I thought this was about the new image format .SVG (thought you typod the V) Heh Merc, if you have to add 50% of a fourletter abbreviation yourself, chances are, it's not the abbrevation you're thinking of... -This message was deviously brought to you by:

Merry
I played it a long time ago! Man I miss the old SWG days... when I first started playing the only means of travel was walking, then they had the update for the Mounts thank GOD! lol. I was a die hard entertaining fan! That was the only MMORPG I ever played that you could do something besides Combat! I LOVED IT! lol. My old SWG buddys tells me alot has changed since I last played (my brother switched from SWG to WOW, so I had to quit...: () I had Mastered Entertainer, Musician, Dancer, and Image Designer. And my best friends were tailors. lol. that was an entertainers joke but yeh...lol. I haven't played since they changed a bunch of crap. Sounds like it pretty much sucks now...lol My PoetryA short story: THE INTRUDERA Short Story:Jerrel the Jester
honeo
I played it a long time ago! Man I miss the old SWG days... I miss old times too. Although I didnt play as long ago as you did. It was still awsome. Did you ever become a citizen of a city? I think that was the best aspect of the game. There was a politicion(sp?) profession where if you got high enough exp you could be a mayor of your own city. I joined up with a city called Freedom Forge. Nice little city where we had meetings and you could just walk around town and hang out with people. The online community was just one of the aspects of the game. Along with combat, hunting, teaming, it was awsome  . I also had a house in this city. It was a little messy but it was cool :P Training my pure! But after awhile I realized it was just easier to set up house near theed and go to the cantina there. Theed was my locale. lol. really most player cities didn't have very many people visiting the cantinas so I never got much business that way anyways. But yeh, like I said I had lived in a few cities. I loved being able to have a house and decorate it! That was one of my favorite things to do. I collected a ton of paintings and displayed them all over my house. I loved my House. it was the medium house. the large ones I never cared for...too big for my taste, and the littles ones I only used for storage. :P lol My PoetryA short story: THE INTRUDERA Short Story:Jerrel the Jester

I got lost in one once lol. I had a small house but still loved it :P. We just hung out in our cantina. The town/guild hall we only used once. That was for elections/politic exp. But the cantinas always had someone dancing and we just hung, got our mind up, and talked. Training my pure!
