Viktorkrum77
I was looking around Deviant Art, and I saw all this space art, and other art that was created through Adobe Photoshop? I assume I could get a hang of this program if I knew what it was, and how I get it? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Me doing staff. Very nice for those of us who can't shell out $600 so we can make a pretty picture on the computer.. Internet Marketing For Newbies
jak722
Takes time to learn though... A very long time for most people unless they have tutorials or past experience. :( The Enrichment Center reminds you that the weighted companion cube will never threaten to stab you and, in fact, cannot speak. In the event that the weighted companion cube does speak, the Enrichment Center urges you to disregard its advice.

eckered
dont get photoshop, get gimp.... its FREE, and can do about 9/10ths of the stuff that photoshop can. it is also EASIER TO OPERATE imo, and makes anamation easy. if you still insist on getting it, get an older version and use that, or upgrade an older version, or best yet, bring a blank cd, and copy the photoshop that your school has, bring it home, and upload it onto your computer   gl with whatever you do, and also, ill get an example of what you can do with gimp up soon... (possibly ) edit: not sure what you were looking at, but this is kinda what gimp can do =) took like 4 minuites too lol http://i94.photobucket.com/albums/l114/ ... rynite.jpg wop wop

No_OnE
GIMP is fine when you're starting out but when you get to a certain point, you'll be very limited. I started with GIMP and I thought that it was nearly as good as PhotoShop. Then I downloaded the free trial and they were on two totally different levels. Viktorkrum77
Ok, GIMP's driving me mad. I open GIMP, I get 2 windows, some weird toolbar thingy, and some drawing thingy with brushes I can't use apparently. So I'm following a tutorial to make a sig. It says open a 420x90 new thingy, so I do, and now I have a third window I have to somehow manage. Then it says, simply click the brush and draw. Which is impossible, I'm suppose to draw on entirely different window, and I can't draw on the bush window. I'll upload a pic, this is driving me mad!! This thing is so confusing!! And what's up with the 2/3 windows! They couldn't compact it into 1 window! Me doing staff.
Fortress2000
Well, usually when I get a trial of anything, and I want to keep it, I try to cheat it.... All I do is download the trial, then when it's trial period is almost up, just set the computers clock back to the date before the trial was downloaded, and there you have it. Free trial! This works 90% of the time for me... Writing in colour was fun while it lasted...The Tip.It. Furry! :D

cadburys_egg
Wow, GIMP is nothing like PS. Paint.Net is supposed to be a whole lot close to Photoshop. From the look of it GIMP has maybe 1/6th the amount of tools.

Rs name: bionicl00 (00 is 2 zeros)F2P forever! All my F2P stats are currently at or above 30. Wow... GIMP is the best alternative to PS that I've found and I've never had it crash on me. And you won't get a virus from it. And (to everyone) please stop worrying about viruses. I will never purposely link you to a file containing a virus or that I haven't tested. And if you do get a virus (whether it be from a link given by me or anyone else) there are programs designed to get rid of them..
