October 9, 200619 yr I'm fairly new to runescape, although i played a bit during christmas break last year. I'm at the point now where I have full rune, r2h, and a few hundred G's on the side. I basically need a good combo to train with and get my str up. There are some high-budget choices, like guthrix, sara, etc. I was just wondering if these armours are actually any better than rune, or if people just wear them for the looks? I could ask the same question for weapons I guess, although I'm quite happy with r2h. Attack - 46 Strength - 51 Defence - 44 HP - 47
October 9, 200619 yr 1. All god and trim armor are the same as their ungod/untrim counterparts, so guthix will be exactly the same as rune except for looks 2. Rune Scimmy and Rune Kite all the way, rune scimmy hits nearly twice as fast as r2h, but not that much weaker (maybe 20%) 6,924th to 30 hunting, 13,394th to 30 summoning, 52,993rd to 30 DivinationKiln Record (Post-EoC): W 25 - L 0, 14 Uncut Onyx, 8 Jad hits received (Best record: Two in the same kiln)Obby set renewed post update #2: 0QBD drops: 21 crossbow parts, 3 Visages, 1 Kites, 2 KitsMax Port Score [2205] Achieved: 27th April 2013 (World 2nd) Farmyard Rampage ranking: 12th, 50,000 Kills. Dragon Pickaxe Drops: 1 (Times after I first entered Battlefield: 2h)
October 9, 200619 yr For stats wise, melee barrows are better than dragon armor. God armors have the EXACT same stats as rune. As far as wearing them, people like to show off as in look at what I bought or hey I follow this god, etc. Geaux Tigers ! Congrats on a great year !

Its the same as rune and it looks more expensive and stylish. For a wep, go with a rune scimmy, or if you want to go a bit slower but hit a tad harder, go with a battleaxe. If you're looking for just training, stick with full rune, kite and a scimitar. Its the best for the money and it keeps you alive. If you want looks, I cant help you there because I havent owned anything higher than steel for the past year. My pure only has 1 def lol. Hope I helped! Go to each Asian restaurant in your town and rub all the Budha statue's bellies you can find
October 9, 200619 yr Author Ok thanks for the help guys :D You confirmed what I was thinking. I'll stick with full rune until I become member
October 10, 200619 yr Stronghold boots (either style) for a little extra defence - best F2P melee boots. Wear green dragonhide vambraces if you have 40 ranged - best F2P melee "gloves".
October 10, 200619 yr Author Thanks. I'm already wearing stronghold boots, and i'm working on the ranging :P On a completely different topic, what is this World 16 Air Service? :3>
October 11, 200619 yr Also known as "Fast Free Airs". Cart 25 essence to the air altar, and exchange it with a crafter for: 125 Airs + 25 noted ess, 2-2.5k coins + 25 noted ess Other deals, such as 3k coins, no ess back. Those are the "runner" options, getting cash or runes (but no XP) for the trip. Crafting works the opposite way, standing in the altar with a large supply of noted essence, cash, gaining XP but losing cash. It is 25 and 25 ONLY, as the crafter needs a slot for cash, a slot for noted ess and a slot for runes. Cash deals seem to be more popular than "free airs", though the free air route is preferable if you need runes and don't plan on getting a high RC level yourself.
October 11, 200619 yr I never cared much for trimmed armor; get full rune + scim and kite. Amulet is personal preference, I use strength. 7 months ago, shoulen m0nk lured me for everything. If you know anything about him, pm me.lol that was a good story but his eyesight must be poor... it's a well known fact that mods only drop garages on players.
